She was an old CofE woman until they got all Jesusy and lefty…then she transferred to the more judgemental old traditions branch of our glorious religion.
On a lighter note the list of candidates for Clacton might worry Beery a bit as it looks like besides those in costume there are some other right-wing nut bags turning out who may split the patriotic vote.
Especially that other enemy of the Establishment and Elites (and I assume the Be Kind Brigade) another self made smoking, drinking man of the people, Lawrence Fox.

And talking of divisive characters, Ken Bates has died. I met him once, back in the mid 1980s not long after he’d taken over Chelsea. I didn’t know much about him or his views but he was incredibly passionate about kicking the racists out of the club and saying how in the future every club would have more black star players in the team. So not all bad.

We bumped into him in Amersham once. He picked up my daughter’s teddy that had dropped out of her pram and returned it. We did not discuss the issue of race in football recruitment , but he seemed a nice chap.

Being homophobic makes you an absolute cretin. If your murdered or not murdered.
If you murder someone because your homophobic you are a murderous cretin.

But, as in someways sometimes its the loud opinions that can stir up the murdering. And in those ways its both as bad as each other.
I dobt Annie W had the sway to incite murder. Others like Tommy R can incite violence with his words though.

The irony on the whole good vs bad debate is that those that commit the most heinous acts - examples being killing themselves and others in the name of their gods - do so because they believe they are doing good.
Those that use their religion and their religious teachings as reasons to restrict or condemn groups people (such as homosexuals as an example) do so because they believe the word of their god and that god is good.
You must understand that you are a bad person - you want bad things. @chris and @thedancingyak et al are good people - they want good things.
People tend to forget that the Nazis thought they were doing the world a favour.

I’ve never claimed to be good btw. We are all fallible. But my views and beliefs are my own and I don’t hide behind the teachings in a book to justify attacking others.
