Then making my own way as a young adult I would go into the terrace.
Then while I worked for the club for a few seasons I had the key to the ground and could go where I liked which was largely in the Frank Adams (KLM) to try and make the noise sound like it was louder to the away fans, but also some times in the terrace or even behind the dugouts
In the future I hope to sit in the family stand with my son.
And Iāve also been in the away end, but it was for an egg chasing match back in the causeway days
Thereās a fella who sits in front of me in Block Q who hits the Gasroom at halftime. I make sure I never get a look at his username as it would ruin the fun of trying to guess.
Of the current voters, I can only rule out Alan Cecil.
Despite being in my 50ās and not visiting as often as I would like, Iām still firmly in the midst of a ālimbs areaā on the terrace. When we score I still love the thrill of unadulterated leaping around.
Frank Adams block P and have been since it was built (Woodlands terrace before that).
Like an earlier poster Iāve inhabited all four sides, the away end only once for my one and only W***s game, Origin stand for Cup games and friendlies, ditto the terrace and family stand.
I donāt think Iāve ever actually sat in the Family Stand but i certainly did when it was terracing before we built the stand that side. Back then would also stand in what is now the home terrace, but these days its Block R in the Frank Adams. I can remember standing in what is now the away end back in the days when the away supporters had a section of standing in the Woodlands Terrace, most memorably for the Boston United FA Cup replay, which was the only part of the ground with the turnstiles still open 5 minutes from kick off and was as squashed in as much as Iāve ever been at a Wycombe game. Iām sure Iāve sat in the Main Stand a few times for ārealā games (I have a vague recollection of seeing that Colchester GK goal from there) but my main memory of sitting in that stand is of lazy afternoons watching Capital League games when I should probably have been working.
That Boston FA Cup replay is one of my favourite pub conversations! I would dearly love one day to know how many fans were actually in the ground that night - the official attendance was given as 4954
All I know is I was on the Valley Terrace and you literally couldnāt move. My estimate would be about 10,000
Frank Adams Block N, row F I used to be further along but I moved across when the Couhigs started giving my seat away to opposition fans, Iām getting used to it now and the view is great.
