I’ve not seen or heard any suggestions that cover at right back might be required for a month or two. Captain Jack has a well established reputation for being able to recover remarkably swiftly from quite serious injuries. Remember the broken back (allegedly!) last season?
His relationship with the fans would be less important next season as they have royally messed up the terrace meaning less flack for the likes of Norris. They seriously need to resolve the issue and communicate the solution to fans well in advance of the first game of the season. I fear the reality of the negative effects of this mess will only become apparent as the season begins.
I think the club’s main focus re: terrace has been contacting fans to try and accommodate them or relocate them. I only have a few anecdotal examples from work colleagues but they’re choosing to relocate to other areas rather than stand on the crumbling beast.
So yeah, with no terrace or barely a terrace, and the remainder of its patrons spread out elsewhere, it’s gonna take some getting used to.
Also, the Gents in the Vere honked of stale urine. I know it’s a football club toilet but it’s not even the first proper game of the season, do they not get a deep clean in the break?

Sounds like WhiffAway isn’t living up to it’s name.
Are you talking about the facilities or the patrons?
He played for us in the championship. There were no fans at games!
From what I recall fans online were hugely positive. Was he player of the year?
Also surprised at the lukewarm memories of Josh Knight from others on here. He was absolutely brilliant for us and always looked destined to kick on to have at least the career he’s achieved since.
The facilities
. It reeked.
Also, Josh Knight was a very classy player for us! I wasn’t aware of any ill feeling towards him.
Have you advised the club?
It clearly reads as the patrons ![]()
Yes I’ve emailed them. Appreciate the stadium is nearly 40 years old and maybe the heat serves to ‘enhance’ the aroma but it was quite unpleasant and noticeable.
Football is so weird isn’t it? I remember Josh Knight as one of the stand outs of the Championship season.
I can’t remember any incident of note. Did he have the temerity to celebrate a goal in front of the terrace upon his return with a different club? Classic Wing-ism.
He got some stick on the gasroom for his sending off against Luton i recall. I recall him having an almost Alfie Mowson legacy with us that season
Josh Knight was excellent but had, like Mehmeti, a miserable resting face which seems to upset some. It was disappointing that he moved on but not unexpected. I can’t remember any fan animosity. Perhaps people are mixing him up with Lewis Wing.
Im still waiting to see Finky acoring with the outside of his boot.
I’m thoroughly confused, as I thought Josh Knight only played for us during Covid. I don’t recall watching him play in the limited capacity games either. Why would fans have a negative perception of him?
For me he was the standout player that season. I’d be delighted to have him back, albeit I cannot see that happening, since we are well stacked at centre half and centre midfield.
As far as I remember he was very well thought of. I believe the overwhelming view was that most fans wanted him to sign permanently.
Maybe the fact he went to Posh intead pissed a few people off. The only bad feeling I have ever witnessed was when he was playing for them.
37 appearance for us in 2020/21 apparently.
Although I have some memories of him playing and can recall feeling slightly annoyed when he left that’s about as far as it goes. I certainly can’t say I have a negative impression.
But then I can barely recall many of last seasons matches, so perhaps it’s me.
