I think a change of environment may be what Kone needs as the system simply does not work for him, i really feel for him…today loomek so dissjointed , still need Connell type in the midfield, we need to cut our loses with some.players like Leahy , Hartridge …Berry looked like a threat and was durect which is good to see

As long as we play like Brazil against Barnet I don’t care but this feels a bit like when we were garbage against a garbage Rotherham but somehow scrambled something with changing approach and players (and some crowd screaming inspired kamikaze football) and then he picked the same starting eleven for the next game.
I think he’s a lovely bloke and a good youth coach I just haven’t seen anything at all to suggest he’s a good L1 manager…and yes he needs and will get more time.

Light blue socks were the traditonal colour for the first two decades that i watched the Wanderers.
Mid table at very best this season. So far we seem to be weaker than last season. Although it is only two pre-season games with lots of changes, we certainly don’t appear to be very organised. Alarm bells not ringing just yet but we need to get sorted quickly.

Seven shots all game vs 17 for them and only 50% possession against a poor non-league team. Still no attacking intent from what I’ve heard. This is going to be a looooooong and boring season…

Was there tonight. Interesting formation in the first half with a 4231, Grimmer tucking in and pushing up, and Junior sticking to the touchline. He looked very bright.
Second saw a flatter 4231. Kone isolated and then frustrated. Berry had some nice touches out wide.
Hard to read too much into a game with 2 separate halves of teams filled with new faces, however we did struggle to create. As much as Dodds was screaming at players to move it quick and forward, we did dally too often. Westegaard still looked frightened of the ball, and Fred still drifts in and out of being interested. We still found it difficult to move in through the final third - if we can get Lowry really settled in the 10, he’ll be a great asset to us in managing that.
