Reading Tickets for the Valentine's Day whatever

As pointed out elsewhere- these are now on sale to season and half season ticket holders.

Reading are one of the few clubs it is worth complaining about on here as I am sure there are people there who are interested on what we have to say.

I reckon that Reading are one of the worst clubs I have been to for seating away supporters.
We do not give the worst view to visiting supporters. Accrington is more welcoming and so are Oxford, even with their 3 sided affair. There is really no excuse for allocating the corner nook seats first when the ground is not likely to be much more than half full.

Here is my list of the worst clubs in order with the very worst at the top.

mk - our split allocation for the play off semi return leg was indefensible and in amostly empty ground it is obvious that they chose to marginalise away support to the greatest degree possible. They don’t deserve to exist. 0/10
Reading - The bus service from the station is great, but that is as far as it goes. Not just a corner nook but initially a thin strip in the corner nook, every chance of half the stewards saying saying sit in you allocated seats and the other half saying sit where you like. Luckily we are a tremendously good natured lot and we will probably be able to start singing about 10 minutes into the game. All in a stadium which has been half full so far this season. 1/10

Derby County - a corner nook with the loudspeakers local to the nook playing martial music at eardrum destroying volume. I have no respect for this club at all. 1/10

Wimbledon - ICE stewards. 2/10

Look at the company Reading keep, but I am willing to be corrected. This season the only League One grounds I have yet to ever visit are Cardiff and Huddersfield.

How many relationships are going to be spoilt by that fixture this year?

Gillingham’s away end is awful and definitely subjects away fans to the worst part of the ground.

Reading isn’t anything to moan about is it?

Behind the goal to one side, easy view, easy trip.

Hardly a Luton is it.

To be fair to Luton, they did do better by making the away end safe standing and you are genuinely behind the goal.

Reading’s allocation for us at the moment is a strip up diagonally behind the corner flag. My point is that they could and should do better and they chose not to. That’s why I would give them only 1/10. Anyway, I have brought a ticket and it is a game I really hope we win.

@Glenny - I did forget about Gillingham - that is another 1/10 experience, particuarly when it is pouring with rain.

Wycombe for an away fan is probably a pretty shite experience overall. Sun in your eyes, crap access to stadium, cold water in the bogs, naff tea bar selection, no decent choice of pubs.

If you’re dating a Reading fan this is the perfect opportunity to save yourself.

I don’t disagree with any of those points, we are also miles from the town centre.

However the away end is easily accessible from the entrance to AP including the away ticket collection area, has a great view with good seats and leg room with probably the best acoustics of any away end in League One.

Friendly locals and low crime rate mean you don’t worry about your safety or car being damaged/nicked.

If I was an away supporter AP would probably sit in about 20th in my favourite away days in League One.
