We’re going to meet them in the play-offs aren’t we and Uncle Rob will have another quick fire promotion to the Championship.

Any bets on how long til he sells? Could be weeks if he gets them up. Having to deal with Dai and know what they were actually getting was a blocker for lots of buyers

Also wonder if JJ is still involved

Oh great back to them lording over us about what a huge club they are again. Still not happy about how the Couhig’s shipped off so quickly. Did they pass us over into ‘great hands’. Time will tell ….

Still not quite over the line, but surely Yongge isn’t going to be able to derail this now.

In a statement, the League One club said that they were “pleased to announce the sale in principle of the club” to Couhig’s Redwood Holdings Limited.

“The formal completion of the transaction is subject to final legal technicalities but is fully expected to be completed shortly,” the club said.

Excuse me, but I read these two paragraphs and cannot get excited about this news. Call me a pessimist, if you like, but we have been here before and it has all fallen to the wayside. Of course, I really do hope it all sails through without a hitch, but I refuse to cheer out loud and shout “At last” from the rooftops, until it is all signed, sealed and delivered. I see someone on other forums thinks Dai will use vanishing ink to sign the paperwork. I wouldn’t put that past him!

Just be aware Rob Couhig gets the right hump if fans question his decisions as we saw for ourselves, still i hope it all goes through without a hitch so Reading keep going.

To be expected unfortunately, and probably a vast improvement on the last update. This is RCs area. Allow yourself a cautious biscuit or two. Not a Chocolate one.

According to Companies House Redwood Holdings Ltd has two directors Mr & Mrs Freshney. Couhig doesnt seem to have an interest in the Company.

It’s this one REDWOOD HOLDINGS 1 LTD overview - Find and update company information - GOV.UK

The Reading statement talks about another company too, it’s him and a friend from New Orleans.

If he thought Wycombe fans were impertinent ingrates, he’s going to have fun at forums with Reading fans.

Just remember he’s sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook, and by gum he put them on the map.

Jokes aside…hope it goes through and all is fine, albeit it might not be for a long time. Assets have gotta be flipped y’all and the travel time is killin’ me.

Wonder if Pete will be a little less keen to get involved this time round after the “we’ll have a party when you’re dead” Bearwood fiasco

By the looks of it Pete Couhig was also at the Reading game. Have seen a picture of him there.

Rob’s takeover has fully gone through. Interesting times ahead for Reading, very glad they have been saved from extinction. Hopefully Rob is as good of a custodian for them as he was for us, during a very tumultuous period.

AT LAST! Dai Yongge has gone, Rob and Todd have arrived. A huge sigh of relief for all Royals fans as we rejoice and concentrate on football matters instead of boardroom deals (or non deals). I would like to thank you all in the Gasroom for providing me with a shoulder to cry on, the support you have shown, good wishes and advice you have given me to believe in better times ahead. It has made me realise that although all fans of any club insist that their club is the best and the rest are rubbish, when the going gets really tough we are, above all, FOOTBALL FANS, this in fact applies to fans all over the country as the letters in places such as the BBC post match comments show. I don’t do X or any social media sites, so I can’t vouch for them. (It can be pretty toxic, so I am led to believe). I have felt quite at home here, so I will not be saying goodbye, yes, all right, I can hear the groans from here. I will still keep popping in, but I probably won’t be posting so much (pause, to let the cheers die down). It will be interesting to say the least, to see the comments when they get back to normal! At the moment, all I can say now is good luck in your play off quest this season, however if you fail to go up this season, better luck next, hopefully we can then rise up the pyramid together, us Champions, you Runners Up, of course, and thanks, once again, for the friendship you have shown.
