100%. I also have to do the odd video or media recording with third parties for our business, and despite having a face for radio, it doesn’t affect my ability do carry out my core duties. But it definitely is one of those things that gets easier with experience.
The almost comical thing about this whole thread is that if Wycombe win a few of their opening games Dodds will be getting serenaded and Klopp-esque fist bumps at full time will be lauded by the masses. ‘It’s all coming together. He’s learnt from last season. He’s assembled HIS team’
If we lose the first five he’ll be hounded and bawled out of AP. ‘He’s a jittery mess. PE teacher at best. Out of his depth’.

any ideas why the club do not show the whole interviews with Dodds and players post match? they only show just over a minute of it , pretty poor especially for fans that pay for the quarters subscription, which i for sure will be cancelling now
How do you know that wasn’t the whole interview? There isn’t longer versions on WanderersTV
Do you not see any distinction between the two? Winning and progress are generally desired regardless of ownership model and having a few bob to spend for once will only heighten it.
One or two games won’t prove anything but after the way the season petered out there has to be some hope he’ll turn it around and some pressure if he doesn’t.
Of course I do that’s the whole point. It just amuses me how fickle most people are when it comes to supporting their team. The one thing I do agree with is the interview is 100% soul-free white middle age corporate ramblings of entitled men. Or maybe it was just me that observed that…

Since @bluntphil left the media team, Matt C aside, are pretty young and inexperienced and Matt can’t do everything especially on match day. It will get better it’s still pre season - all part of ‘theproject’.

Not sure I’d call MD “middle aged” but other than that…
With respect what the hell of wrong with being white and middle aged ? also like it or not we have far more change of becoming an esablished championship football club with these guys . Even if you have an issue with this demographic.

Historically quite a bit Mike, sorry James.
So watched the interview and had some thoughts I’ll share.
- Good to actually have put this out even though the whole thing was a bit meh.
- Dan looked nervous and uncomfortable to me and when spoke talked a fair bit but said fairly little.
- I like Mike but really think a little bit of media training would go along way, and like some others on here I am not surprised he didn’t go into any detail around the playing style, why give opponents any insight before the season has begun.
- First time I’d seen Tom so good to put a face to the name, was clear about the organisational structure etc but didn’t really reveal anything else.
So overall good thing to do but maybe:
- Do some fan Q&A sessions at a Trust meeting etc.
- Bring back the player Q&A post match in the Vere.
- Oh an if the Rebellion IPA in the Vere goes up to £6.50 a pint then I will not be drinking at the club anymore but more likely drinking in town and getting an uber to AP.
I am optimistic and excited about the new season (as I always am) and will let the performances dictate my mood when the season in underway. COYB

I think there is still a general level of interest in what the likes of GA, Blooms and JJ do. It seems a bit strange to act as though a comment that took perhaps two seconds to read prevented you from “getting on with your life”!
