Rumour Mill

You learn something new all the time on this forum. Have to say never heard the insult ‘ as intellectual as a boat ‘. It’s a corker.

Paudie O’Connor seems a strong rumour.
James Tilley from Wimbledon is also linked.
Nathan Lowe is still linked.

Kone to West Ham also seems to have links - with some loanees coming back. Whether we negotiate to loan Kone back for this season is up in the air or that West Ham feel he’ll need Championship football.

Joe Low is still interesting. My heart says he’ll stay, just my damn head says otherwise.

Here’s the Tilley rumour…

Some loanees coming back in exchange for Kone from West Ham would be good. Would take Lewis Orford, Callum Marshall and maybe even a cheeky permanent move for Gideon Kodua, but let’s see how it pans out.

One of the more prolific Wycombe twitter fans have linked Marshall to Wycombe.

If we had gone up, I would have bet a large sum West Ham would have loaned Potts back to us. We seem to have a very good relationship with the Hammers.

very underwhelming if this happens , need to be getting a much better calibre of player than this…Dons dont rare him and not good enough for us

That would have been great, but I hope Freddie is destined for the big time and gets a shot in their first team squad rather than another loan.

Also, agree with the posters around Joe Low and think we’ve handled him badly in terms of playing minutes from February onwards. I thought we’d learnt this lesson as a Club with Chris Forino (in terms of contracts and asset protection) but it’s hard to see Joe staying and we’ll be given minor compensation for a player that could be in the seven figure range. I expect him to move on, Luton would hurt but it would make sense from his perspective, however I anticipate him moving to Cardiff if they can resolve their finances.

There is a number of Hammers fans that want him to be given a chance this season for their league team. To be fair to him, he has earned that right after having successful loans with us and Portsmouth.
If he struggles to make the PL cut, then they could loan him out during the January Transfer window.

I’d actually left this forum, but just had to pop back in thanks to this. You missed the best bit out though, “your as intellectual as a boat”. Proper spEak You’re bRanes stuff.

Utterly impenetrable nonsense and abuse on each and every thread. Impossible for a casual poster to be involved.

Really hope this forum sorts itself out soon.

To be fair, the Gasroom has always had it’s share of ‘utterly impenetrable nonsense.’

Why do some of our fans wake up and think I’m going to be a C*** to other fans - when we all support the same football team…

Re Low, we had 2 better defenders, so tough he had to sit on the bench.

I can’t see the ‘ignored’ option - only the ‘muted’.

I just ignore people the old fashioned way. By ignoring them.

Agreed - the esoteric late night ramblings of LX1 for instance are a cherished part of the fabric of the site. I’m all for some impenetrable nonsense, as long as everyone is being pleasant.

If people want to be rude to fellow supporters, there’s all sorts of ‘league one banter’ groups on Facebook where boring abuse can be thrown around.

I think I worked out why, you should be able to do it now.
