Wycombe 3-3 Stockport
That’s far too exciting for those of a nervous disposition.
At least nobody posted before I got there (as so often happens with my lengthy efforts!) which meant that it was obvious (?) what I was commenting on.
When this platform was first set up it was possible to drag down the target post by tapping the first of a line of icons in the comments box. For me at least, this no longer happens.
After all that, I’ll go for 1-1. Where’s the former LX1?
Wycombe 1 Stockport 3
We have to beat Stockport on Saturday. On the reasonable assumption that Charlton will beat Burton, a draw or defeat with/by Stockport would mean that we would be playing Charlton in the semifinals. A win would put us into third place with a semifinal against either Reading or Orient. (Third play sixth.)
Avoiding Charlton in the semis would at least give us a realistic (albeit somewhat slim!) possibility of getting to Wembley yet again. I think there might be an outside chance of Dan Harvie being available by then, if not fully match fit, and if Fred can reproduce the kind of performance he gave against Oxford United a few years ago, who knows.
Sadly …
Wycombe 0 v 1 Stockport
We seem to find it hard to score so Stockport only need to score 1 to win, then they can rest as we huff and puff to no avail.
I go 2-0 to Wycombe. Kone will come good after his awards and there will be some durprises in the line up.
Wycombe 1-3 Stockport
I hope we don’t play Kone, looks like he needs a rest. Has Berry ever played as a striker, or always out wide?

Just a side note, wouldnt it be great if every team came out to The Alarms 68 Guns on Saturday, in honour of the Wonderful Mike Peters who sadly died yesterday. Not only were The Alarm a truly great band, Mike raised so much awareness and dignity in his 30 year Cancer battle.
Seen them a number of tines, and chatted to him in person down the town hall on the dead man walking Tour, and i would echo what many have said on social media, one of the nicest and most humble men, you could ever meet.
Tragically generations seem to have missed out on The Alarm, i once went to a Wedding in Marlow, where you had to write down one request, i put down 68 guns, and a number of slightly but not considerably younger wedding goers had never heard the song before, and were saying how fantastic it was.
Mike was a big football fan , and someone who championed the down trodden.
Had lost touch with their career over the years, but chatted to him at length after they played our Freshers week at Manchester Poly 1983. Great show and a very nice bloke considering how refreshed me and my mates were at the time.
