So moral of the story folks is back up regularly not every now and then… Aagghh.

Anyway while I expected to write no correct scores after a 4-0 home win that is not what happened. Huge congratulations to @Mandown , as far as I can tell no one has ever done that before.

Mandown’s success creates a slightly controversial scoring dilemma. The rules give a two point bonus to anyone predicting precisely a two goal margin and a four point bonus for anyone predicting a three goal win in addition to other points earned. The rules though are silent on anyone correctly predicting a 4 goal win mainly because I didn’t think anyone would ever do it and couldn’t be bothered to programme excel for that eventuality. I think though fairness dictates that there should be such a bonus for a four goal margin so I have scored @mandown ten points, made up of 4 pts home win, 2 pts correct score bonus, four points 4 goal margin prediction bonus. Hope all agree that is fair. That’s the decision anyway.

Where does that leave us? No surprise to see @counting_sheep score points again this week and remain 14 pts clear. With 1/3 of the season to go, he stands a reasonable chance of becoming only the third predictor in history to score a century after @SmiroludyBlue and @micra (both in same season). @Bayo remains comfortably second but @Mandown moves to a season best third place and only eight points from the silver medal.

Further down @FrasBlueJazz and @petef1 each reached personal best positions.

On to potentially season defining way games at Reading and Exeter. Are we playoff contenders or simply mid table. These games will tell us much.

Thanks once again for doing all this, I wish i knew the rules better, I also predicted 4 goals for us, but ruined it with a goal for Donny, Do I not get some good points for saying 4 or is it ruined by the goal that never came from Doncaster ?

Confession time. Towards the end of the game, at 4-0, my selfish gene was torn between wanting a clean sheet for the club and an away goal to give me a much needed nudge up the Samaritans table.

Mind reader Man in the Middle. My thoughts in that direction were based on a recent match in which IIRC Reading were losing 3-0 and fought back for a 3-3 draw. I’m banking on our defence not being quite as yielding.

Loads of ways to score this I guess but that’s the one I settled on.
