A few weeks back I mentioned in the Terrace Needs Repairs thread that I had been spurred along to create a song for our club that isn’t the same old same old that every other club is also playing. I’m very happy to say it is out today. It’s called ‘Silly Little Dream’ and forms part of a 4 track EP - a love letter to the club, Martin O’Neill, those times and all those along the way who were part of the journey. There is even a cover of ‘Wycombe Wanderers Number One’…
It is hard to overestimate what it was to be part of the ride at such an impressionable age from non-league to the Football League with countless joys and successful trips to Wembley and big cup games and real actual heroes. The older you get, the more you realise that those heroes were just normal blokes. Normal blokes playing football in their spare time. And aren’t normal people achieving and giving so much to so many the very best of heroes.
You can listen via your streaming platform of choice here: EP2: Silly Little Dream
You can also listen and read more about each the creation of each track here: EP2: Silly Little Dream | Reviresco
Here you will also find for sale a limited edition 12” vinyl (only 50 copies) with full inner sleeves, liner notes and lyrics. AND my first bit of merch - a commemorative football shirt to celebrate the release: Merch | Reviresco
Whilst I’d love to hear these pumping out as the team runs out, I don’t hold my breath. But I hope all the Chairboys and Chairgirls out there get as much enjoyment from listening as I have in releasing it.
