Set the alarm for 5.30am to get up and watch us bat.
Put the TV on at 6am to see we are already All Out for 172. This could be a long series!
You might yet get to see us bat. This is great!
18 wickets on day one already. What a fun series this is going to be. Glad I haven’t just bought a day four ticket
Day 3 could be off the cards too.
Good job our bowlers are top notch, that’s a damn good comeback.
I switched on around 6:30 thinking we’d already stuffed our chances. Two hours later the whole game had completely turned.
I’m here watching it…fantastic first days play but we were roasted where we sat. Blazing hot sun on us for almost the whole day. Got to do this all again tomorrow but the downside is missing the Lincoln game. COYB and ENGLAND.
My lasting impression of the last Ashes is that we could have won if we’d decided to bat sensibly in one session per test. I hope i’m not feeling the same way on Monday morning.
You need to outdo the massive Scunthorpe United flag with a Wycombe one…!
There was an enormous Stoke City one
There’s one person we want at the crease in Perth.
Michael Atherton.
Lancashire’s finest.
Would win this Test on his own.
I got near dangerous sunburn on the second day at Melbourne last time we won down under.
Respect the sun friend!
Very considerate of England and Australia to try and get this game finished before the footy later
Well this is turning out to be a very disappointing start to the day.
One word….bugger.
Or Saturday morning. Good grief.
A farcical cricket match in a farcical world.
Had recorded the whole day’s play on TNT with a view to watching it (with some fast forwarding) between a very late breakfast and this afternoon’s match at Adams Park. Had been trying studiously to avoid hearing any reference to the cricket. Should never have switched on LBC. First news bulletin and all my efforts bit the dust.
Ashes? It starts in Brisbane doesn’t it? Nothing has happened yet.
Diabolical 3rd and 4th innings from England, watched most of 3rd and all of 4th.
The lack of application is staggering. The lines and lengths we bowled were unbelievable on that wicket. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an inept bowling display in all the years I’ve been watching test cricket. To do that 24 hours after a very good display was mind boggling.
