For those that play reguarly this will possibly be a one off for fun and it certainly won’t count towards the 25 / 26 Tour de Season.
For those who don’t - the idea is to forecast, guess or use tea leaves to reach a definite conclusion about what the official total attendance will be for the match against Fulham and what the official away attendance will be.
Ah - I just looked on the Fulham site and see that they have sold out.
I seem to be coming clean a lot lately but, in my desperation to improve my position in @railwaysteve’s attendance prediction table, I rang the ticket office number last Friday to enquire how ticket sales to Huddersfield were going. All fair in love and war, perhaps ?
My call was answered very quickly, almost as quickly as my well deserved come-uppance when the gentleman who’d responded said he was sorry but he couldn’t help me as he was only holding the fort while the ticket office staff were at a meeting. Hence my relegation level prediction of the away component on Saturday.
2025 has been quite an odd year. Huge turnover of players. Four managers in a calendar year (after such a long period with a familiar face in the dugout). Massive financial outlay on training facilities, players & academy. Patchy results.
It will be nice to have a game where there’s no real pressure on the players and we can enjoy being the underdog.
