Attendance was 7,872 (including Fulham 1,837).
It would seem as if BBC have got confused and added two figures together!

I think Tuesday nights in particular mean lots of people arrive close to kick off. The turnstiles then struggle to get people through quickly.
And the sign-posting is non existent. Quite a lot of people outside as the game kicked off were unsure which queue to be in. Eventually the stewards did find a loudspeaker to direct people to the right gates. But it was a bit of a mess.
As I walked in there was loads of traffic up the road, yet the stewards were chatting to someone in their car at the gate for ages. Happens every time for bigger games. I guess it only takes a handful of people being unaware of the parking situation and driving up to the gate to create a big delay. The changed approach to try and prevent cars coming up the road is better but still not great. I’m not sure how we resolve it to be honest. Some arrangements with the factories operating parking so they could display at the top of the road (and surrounding area) when the other car parks are at capacity would probably help but that’s probably tricky given they’re privately operated.
I’m gunna have to disagree on this too my old mucker…. I arrived an hour before kick off…. Grabbed a pint and had a ciggy and headed into the ground 15 to 20 mons before kick off. I’m a terrace man usually, but on this occasion I was in the family stand with my 2 sons.
There were barriers and streaming measures put in place…. And a small but loud shouty woman continuously calling out which lane for which stand for everyone to get into…. I honestly don’t know what more could be done from the club??
I think alot of people were caught a little off guard by the size of the attendance…. I would have been…. But luckily as I bought tickets very late on I realised how few seats were left so got down very early to park.
Also we have only just received recently been granted control of hillbottom Rd on matchdays…. I felt it was better that it used to be…. But obviously there will be teething problems…

I couldn’t find anything on the clubs website for the total, If these firgure’s are correct , I was pretty dam close with both of my total’s (do I win anything)

Fair enough. I’m sure it was fine for those who got there earlier. But there are a lot of people on midweek games that won’t be able to get there till close to KO.
