Enlighten us, what is happening in front of our faces?
Dan? Is that you?
It so obviously is.
Work is already underway to prepare for next season and we look forward to starting a new chapter in pre-season” = “we’re replacing the pitch”
Tbf the pitch upgrade is a welcome investment. Credit where it’s due.
You know who you are.
I really hope Dan Rice is posting on here with a sockpuppet account. That would be brilliant. Even better than the rumour Prince William posts on the Villa forums under an assumed name. Probably ‘nextinline2026’
I don’t think it was their choice, it’s a leftover from a promise Mr Couhig made, but didn’t keep, to the trust. Very little, if anything has been said about other parts of the ground requiring work
The current method of communication between the ownership group and the fans appears dysfunctional at least and impersonal at best. As one of the objectives of the independent directors from the supporters Trust is an open and honest dialogue with the majority shareholders of the club, I would suggest that this is one method of communicating the fans thoughts which can then be fed back to the Trust membership at the relevant meetings.
I tried that at the trust meeting but they steadfastly refused to read out my question and just spent the entire thing toadying up to Rice. I don’t think the trust have any interest in the fans’ opinions any more because chequebook.
When the Trust owned the club they were somewhat reluctant to keep their members updated on significant matters.
He’s played the xG card. Dan’s getting rattled.
Didnt you post ‘I’m not sure I can be arsed with this club anymore’? After a recent match?
Now we are all.moaning.minnies.
How did they win you over?
Its been a busy week.
Agreed, we went very quickly from all chipping in to “we must be sold”, under RC they seemed far more interested in protecting their seat at the table than inviting any scrutiny and the final giveaway of equity was presented as a done deal with none of the presented aims or advantages ever happening before RC laughed all the way to the bank.
In general, I find this thread pretty extraordinary, having always felt that Bloomfield, going to a bigger club, for a higher salary and longer contract, did OK out of his rumoured persecution, and indeed made a choice that he might reasonably have made even without persecution. But the idea that fans should be hurling the C-word at the owner while he pours millions into the academy, the training grounds and the first team squad goes way beyond that and has me thinking that I inhabit an entirely parallel universe.
In hindsight, Blooms would have been better gritting his teeth, seeing out the season and getting us promoted and then stick two fingers up at Rice.
As it has turned out he has ended up back in League 1, albeit with a greatly enhanced salary and more or less guaranteed promotion with his club next season. However, with a promotion with Wycombe on his CV, he would probably have got a job with a better club than Luton.
No guarantees though and he’s now got a 3 year contract on I assume a much higher wage.
Rice out now take dodds with you
