He was sat in the same row as me at the Reading away game last season.
Long way up the row though, wasn’t going to say hello, the game was too depressing for that.

Not in the slightest bit interesting in defending the ownership group but Georgia was colonised by the USSR. Calling them Soviets is not OK, and Henning Wehn seems like a prick.
That aside he sums up the situation pretty well.

If the results were better, would a lot of the criticism of Rice be forgotten? Asking for a friend.
I despise the man! Even if we started winning and were top of the league….. of course id forgive and forget because im a fickle fan.
Henning might make some fair points about the owners’ actions but once again calling them “Soviet” and intimating similarities with the Russian government is needlessly offensive. Luckily most people on this forum have learned to do better.

It’s actually worse than that. Georgians were barbarically persecuted by the Soviet Union. It’s unbelievably offensive to refer to people from Georgia as “Soviets”

The issues we have are not just about results, the whole club around the first team and first team management has been destroyed.
The ethos of the club has been destroyed.
You can’t build trust and the club back up on pure results.
The biggest worry is this destruction has been done off the back of spending on a level way beyond our means by an owner and temporary chairman who are either absent or have no experience running a club.

ML is not Soviet, he is either Georgian or more recently has adopted the Kazakhstan nation.
Interestingly the Soviets most famous son was in fact Georgian and ML’s business partner was once in the Soviet army.
They are quite keen on airbrushing people out of the club’s history too.

Strongly agree, not only are the footballing decisions dire, there has been no respect for the culture of Wycombe Wanderers.
We can only hope ML, gives his son in law another job, and gets someone in more qualified than Rice.

Unfortunately none of this will happen. ML seems to have little to no interest in WWFC, his son in law and the delightful Rice are part owners. Rice has appointed himself to roughly 600 different roles including chairman. I wouldn’t be surprised if he names himself as the next coach. Horrendous times to be a chairboy. Id take skimping free transfers in league 2 with GA any day over what they’ve made us.
