W3 Title Decider vs AFC Portchester

In what promises to be an exciting climax to the league campaign, the Chairgirls have the opportunity to secure promotion and the league title away at AFC Portchester next Sunday 19th April 2pm kick off!

The Foundation team are hoping to get as many fans as possible to Portchester to support the Chairgirls, and turn an away fixture into a home one to help get them over the finish line!

They are helping to arrange travel and logistics, so if you’d like to attend please reply to this thread or message me or @OxfordBlue with the number of fans who would like to travel and they’ll do the rest.

The Foundation will come back to you with a travel option and total cost including your match ticket, with a promise to keep it as low as possible. COYB!

A definite from me, with another 2/3 likely. I’ll let you know.

Alan and Margaret, who run the coaches for OWWSA and help on match days at Burnham, want to go. They have asked OWWSA to email their members about this.

Portchester dropped two points today in a 1-1 home draw vs Reading
By my reckoning W3 need a draw (or better) next week for the title and promotion.

Flyers can get to 46 points so a draw likely to win it on GD, but not certain. I wouldn’t be counting any chickens in that situation!

Mark Gaitskell, the Foundation CEO, released the coach details yesterday evening:

" Cost & Meet Time - We have managed to arrange a 29-seater coach to take you all to the ground and back to Adams Park at a cost of £720. We have decided to charge just £20 p/p with the Foundation then covering the difference as a gesture of thanks. Looking at train tickets, I hope you see that as good value. Please arrive at Adams Park ready for a (prompt) 11.30am departure.

Payment - We would appreciate a payment made in advance to the attached bank details with a reference of W3 fan name and number attending ie. W3 Mark Gaitskell x2.

Match Ticket - We expect match tickets to be £5 p/p payable at the gate, though we are still to have this confirmed by our opponents."

If anyone wants to travel on the coach and has not already been in contact with Mark, email him on Mark.Gaitskell@wwfc.com to check seat availability and get the bank details.

Given the tight arrival time for a 2pm kick-off, and without a stop at the Services, I have asked him to find out what food and drink will be available at the ground.

They are trying to bring the departure time forward, awaiting confirmation.

Confirmed that the coach will leave Adams Park at 10:30.

If you’re going to the game but not on the coach make time to check out Portchester Castle.
