Whatever happened to…

It was a good name…until it stopped being a good name and had to be dropped like a rancid turd covered stick.

I used to get a lift from an old gent when I was a kid.

He only had a small car but wasn’t the most mobile fella and I was always impressed by his parking skills in some of those spaces!

Thankfully he later on got a disabled space under the away end which was way more comfortable a park job.

Though he didn’t take any heed of marshals telling him to stop, which was a little frightening at times!

I reversed park in Soho the other week in a space my wife deemed impossible. As a terrible reverse parker, the heat was on, but I pulled off the perfect park first time. My wife was impressed and I even got a nod from a worker in the shop I was parking by. I then went to pay - £22 for three hours. Took the shine right off that did!

Aye, that’s exactly the reason he’s used it.

Whatever happened to the 2 trumpet players, I think it was a Dad and son combo. They were an ever present on the terrace late 90s/early 00s. Along with Joe the drummer I think his name was.

Adams Apple?

Joe the Drummer now lives in the USA, like all the best Wycombe fans.

You should just not bother paying for parking, get a ticket and then it’s £35 for the whole day! If you keep the ticket in good condition, just sticking it to your windscreen & the car park people won’t bother you again!

Ha! Knowing my luck it would have been towed away. I don’t normally drive in London, but the tube strikes were in full flight and had no other choice.

Not anymore Micra! Closing in on 30 now!
