Why is Dodds still in Charge?

We are all aware and realise that Dodds’ position at the club should be questioned however we aren’t the ones making the decision.

So why do we think he’s still here?

  • He’s been given a warning / notice period to improve
  • He’s been given a chance with the latest new signings
  • Ownership group are already looking for replacement
  • Ownership group want to give him more time
  • Other reason (please state)

Ownership group don’t want to lose face.

All of those reasons plus they don’t want to admit they’ve made a mistake appointing him.

I think they may surprise a few of you by sacking his arse in 2-3 games time if he loses the next three .

The reason is that it’s only been six league games with a brand new squad and sacking someone so early would be mental.

That wouldn’t suprise me tbh

Another 2-3 games would be 8-9 games . If we are bottom and churn out another three performances like Stevenage or get a hiding from someone I don;t think that woud be remotely mental . It’s probably going to be about the next three performances as much as the results I think .

The Ownership Group want to stay in League 1 so it is easier to blood youngsters from the Academy.

Because he’s the chosen one and he must fulfil the prophecy (idk what the prophecy is)

Solihull sacked Matty Taylor for 1 point from 5 games!

The way it’s going, the youngster will be playing their trade in League Two!

Behold, a scroll unfurls, heavy with the weight of destiny and the faint scent of urine from Adams Park. It is written:

“When the Chairboys shall fall from their lofty perch, and the League Two abyss swallows them whole, a new dawn shall break, not in Buckinghamshire, but in the distant Steppes of Kazakhstan.

For the great data analysts, with their spectacles askew and their spreadsheets full of woe, shall declare the Wycombe relegation to be an anomaly of such profound statistical despair that a cosmic correction is required. The glorious Danish players, weary of battling in High Wycombe and the peculiar rhythm of lower-league football, shall suddenly find themselves the most coveted assets in the entire Kazakh Premier League.
Their Viking-like surnames – a symphony of ‘Westergaard’ and ‘Hagelskjaer’ – shall be etched onto the back of new, glorious, bright blue jerseys.

The Wycombe faithful, in their sorrow, will turn their gaze eastward, their hearts swelling with a bizarre and misplaced sense of pride. They will find themselves inexplicably cheering for FC Astana, for Kairat Almaty, for names they once couldn’t pronounce. They will trade their swans for golden eagles, and their chants of “Chairboys!” will be replaced by a guttural, joyous cry for “Glory in the Steppes!”
And thus, it is foretold: The downfall of Wycombe Wanderers shall be the birth of a footballing dynasty in Kazakhstan, all because the data said it must be so.”

Talking about 6 league games feels like a politician’s way of wording it. When the other cup games haven’t been great. When half of last season was poor. When almost no player has shown what they’re capable of.

We’d get to 37 games in and someone will still be saying “yes but we’ve only had the full squad available in 5 of them”

It’s still 6 league games with this squad, that’s a fact.

Well those 6 games are now with the “old” squad, as we just brought a tonne more signings in on deadline day.

So does that re-set the games allowance?

Yeh it does

Don’t worry guys the data says we are 10th…

It resets again when the clocks change too.

It’ll be the first time The Group has played under AP’s floodlights, which could have different Lumen and/or Kelvin values than they’re used to.
