Wycombe Wanderers are delighted to announce that Saturday 14th March’s fixture against Luton has been confirmed to be the club’s dedicated Her Game Too fixture. The Chairgirls will also be hosting AFC Portchester Ladies at Adams Park on Sunday 15th March in an exciting double header weekend.
It will be the first annual Her Game Too weekend since the club partnered with the non-profit organisation back in November 2025 - marking the closest home games to International Women’s Day (8th March) for both the men’s and women’s teams.
Her Game Too are an organisation dedicated to tackling sexism and creating a positive change in football and the wider sporting world by working with clubs to promote inclusivity and ensuring football grounds are safe, welcoming environments for female fans.
Across the Her Game Too weekend, both the Chairboys and Chairgirls will be warming up in Her Game Too branded warm up t-shirts and there will be a special photo frame in the car park for fans to take selfies with. We will also be composing a playlist of female artists to jam to throughout matchday.
Behind the scenes, we will be welcoming young female fans who aspire to work in the sports industry to help with the club’s media output across the weekend.
Keep an eye out for more articles and posts across social media with information during the build-up to the double header weekend!
As part of the partnership, Wycombe Wanderers have launched a survey to better understand the experiences of female fans attending matches at Adams Park. The club welcomes honest feedback to help improve and enhance the matchday experience for female supporters. To take part in the survey, please click here.
Nicknamed the Royals, or more usually Portchy, they were promoted to this division after winning D1S in 2023-24. Last season they finished in third place, level on points with the Chairgirls whose better goal difference pipped them to second place. That season Portchy won 3-0 at Burnham on the opening day of the season but we won 5-2 in the return fixture in March, with Potter (2), Watkins (2) and Lynch on target. They also beat us 3-1 in the League Cup.
It’s mid-March and it seems strange to be playing Portchester for the first time this season. That is partly explained by Portchy having fine cup runs, with five games in the FA Cup, getting to the Third Round before losing 5-0 to tier 2 Ipswich Town in front of 446. They are also through to the League Cup semi-final, when they play Reading away next week.
Their only defeat in the league this season was 2-1 at home to Beaconsfield Town in week 3. They have drawn with Southampton Women and Oxford City, both 2-2, the rest they have won, but they have only played 10 out of 20 games and their season continues nearly to the end of May. Their league goals (36 from 10) are spread around, Sarah Butterworth leads the way on five, with Millie Bradbury, Rebecca Bath and Charmaine True on four each.
See their list of remaining fixtures on the W3 thread. They have dropped two fewer points than us, we still have to play them twice so we need at least four points from those two games to keep in control of our destiny. The fixture at their place is our last game of the season but they still have five games to play after that.
HT 0-1, it took us a long time to settle but, apart from a Lynch blocked shot in the opening minutes and that Harvey header, we have created very little, few touches in their box. Portchy are getting joy down the left wing and have had the better chances.
