Absolutely ridiculous decision to shut the Woodlands upper. I can understand the terrace. But this is our season opener. At least tickets have gone on sale now.

I know I’m on fire with my moaning recently but…
apparently we have an EFL Trophy fixture at Reading three weeks tomorrow. But I can see no info about this or any other fixtures listed on club website for this competition?

Not in UK as it’s on Sky.
I can only assume it’s due to expected low turnout. I was hoping to be able to sit in my new season ticket seat. 
Yet it was open for a meaningless friendly against Portsmouth (home attendance: 1,250) and another meaningless friendly v Ipswich.

I’ve just realised that tickets don’t go on general sale until Thursday - eight days before the game - to give season ticket holders an absolutely meaningless priority.

Best part of 2,000 for a Friendly is pretty good and the match seems to have been enjoyed by home fans and seen as very encouraging for our prospects next season.
A home Friendly against a Premier League club (Ipswich) next Saturday will obviously be a sterner test and (we hope) be even better attended.

I think as soon as you start closing stands for whatever reason it instantly puts people off going. And the fact it’s one of those dreadful quid a kid games where it always seems to end in defeat or/and a poor performance

Exactly this, shutting 2 stands just makes it feel like an utterly tinpot game akin to the Autopizza Motors shield.
Whisper it..but might be a click a button and watch at home job.

I would urge the club to make an immediate change by opening the upper tier and putting all tickets on general sale now.

Not having either the terrace or upper tier open feels absolutely crazy and will give this game the feel of a pre season friendly.

Best part of 3,000 between them. So 5,000 ish capacity including the Whiffaway end.
