I’d like a home game to start and I’ll have a guess at Cardiff.
Luton home or away to start would be interesting.

It has to be an away game because if the relaid pitch doesn’t it?
I’ll go with Luton, at least it would get it over with.
Pretty sure the fixtures will reveal that we will eventually play all 23 other teams home and away over the season. Not sure order is overly important.
Dont know if our pitch works means we will have requested an away game to start. Wouldn’t be surprised.
Many of us will have our own ideosyncrasies in our desires - mine for example is for my most local games Plymouth and Exeter away not to be scheduled over Christmas when family commitments may make it hard and ideally not too closely together.
Will be what it will be though.

nah, we need us and Luton to both get off to really good starts but not meet until a few months down the line. Really build up the narrative.
Reading would be a good one later on as well. Give the Reading fanbase time to turn on the new owners. I don’t suspect it will take too long

Leyton away would be absolutely perfect for me.
My Missus has got used to me being around again over the weekends so want to ease the away trips in gradually before a weekend away up North or Plymouth!
I’m most interested in Cardiff and Doncaster away games, as grounds I’ve not seen us play at yet.
Not had much luck with fixtures in recent seasons, so expecting them to be arranged on weekends I wouldn’t be able to go!
Hopefully away games on international weekends too.
Any chance of Plymouth on a Saturday I wonder?

Bradford away to start, followed by Stockport at home. Two contenders right away, much like last season.
Luton away on Boxing Day quickly followed by Plymouth away on the 29th. We play Plymouth at home just three weeks earlier.
We’ll celebrate promotion at home to Rotherham on the last day of the season.

Brutal Christmas schedule - Bolton, Luton, Plymouth, Cardiff. Plus a tricky end to the season too. In Dev fashion, you have to play them all twice!
Doncaster away our first midweek too.
Six league games in August, great opportunity for Dodds to hit the ground running.

Looking at the fixtures in more detail, it is (on paper) a relatively favourable start to the season. I’d imagine that if we aren’t comfortably in the mix towards the top of the league come mid / late October that Dodds could find himself under immense pressure. Football is back!
