Lincoln fans delighted at Reach signing his new deal. Firmly above us and chasing automatic promotion. Another one we should’ve held onto. He could’ve given us a different dimension in midfield too.

I must confess that Reach was one that I was not insistent on keeping - I remember thinking he did some good things with us, but wouldn’t have minded if we kept him, wasn’t devastated that he left.
But then he was in that badly floundering transitional post-MB Dodds side where it was pretty rare for anyone to impress, even established players.
The difference is, Skubala is a very good manager who has built his team with an identity and a solid core (rather than throwing a slew of signings together), which is a better environment for individual quality signings together add to.

Interesting, after he broke his ankle I thought that was the end of his playing days, but I see he has made three appearances for Leverstock Green this season. He turns 52 next month.

It all fell apart for waddock when Kuhl punched Scott donnelly (I think it was him on the way back from millwall) and Taylor fell out with Leon knight (does anyone remember that story?)
Being up on brighton at half time only to concede 5 in the second half. I refused to go after the tranmere game with Taylor in charge, never looked like scoring even if they played all night and it was only 1-0. Think he got 2 more games then got the boot.
