I believe Kevin Nolan was the reason we could not believe they let him go, yes. Certainly my Notts supporting relatives found it strange.
Matt Phillips ran out for 66 minutes in Stevenage’s 1-0 win over Huddersfield and had the best chance of the first-half according to the BBC match report. Cam Humphreys was brought on after just 10 minutes and then subbed on 79 minutes for the visitors.

I was present as his side beat Newton Abbot Spurs 5-0 at the weekend, though can’t be sure if he played or not.
