The Ryder Cup is the only Golf competition that I take an interest in as I really like the team dynamic instead of the lone wolf majors.
It’s going to be really interesting this year, will Trump play a part, even tho its being played in a state that hates him? What distranction tactics will both teams use? Who will crack under the pressure?

I bloody love the Ryder Cup. So glad that WWFC have a 12.30 KO so I can sit and watch the majority of it. Another chance to “spank the Yanks” on their own doorstep as well. I find the USA crowd so obnoxious & rude so when we win, it makes the victory even more delightful.

I’m surprised Trump hasn’t insisted on being in the Team. If they lose, no doubt he will accuse the European Team of some skullduggery and demand a replay.

That’s the one difference between European crowds and US crowds. There is a large section in the US that are just absolute cretins.
It is cultural, as if this was in Europe, they would get shouted down or removed.
It’s getting worse the more the likes of Sky and the media hype up the event. The more money involved the more idiots it seems to draw out.
The number of times yesterday the Europeans had to walk away from being over a shot was ridiculous.
I also don’t remember us booing the US on introductions at the start of each game. One thing I really hate.
Best way to shut them up is let the golf do the talking!

It’s not even the odd person in the crowd.
Won’t be long before a European player is assaulted mid game on US soil by a patriot waving a flag and wearing a red hat.

They really don’t understand that Brits / Irish in particular are great as the underdogs , put us down as much as you want but we have that inner strength that Americans don’t seem to have especially in team golf it’s all about the individual rather then the team. Can you imagine if the europeans crowds gave the americans as much abuse over here , the americans really need to have a good look at themselves and do something about it .

Ryder cup Is on the same level as the ashes.
Normally I would let both cricket and golf pass me by as the upper class toff sports their rules history has them abide by.
Come Ryder cup/Ashes I’m staying up late and getting involved.

Oh please. The purl clutching about US golf fans getting involved by football fans when we hear or do much worse every week is hilarious.
If that were an English football crowd they would be all shouting “Oooooooooooooooooooh YOU’RE SHIT, AAAAGHHHHHH!” As they are striking the ball Or, “you’re going home in a fucking ambulance”.
There were times the funeral procession song was played/sung at Adams park, finished by people shouting “DIE” when a player got injured.
The level of American banter towards opposition players in any sport is hilariously bad. Booing and chanting USA, or “I believe, I believe that we will win” should be about as intimidating as watching a child’s Spelling bee
The daily mail is running an article on the basis a player was asked if he had ever done some cardio and calling him a bitch wanker. As a fat lad, I’d be quaking in my boots at that heckle(!)
Incidentally. Let’s all listen out for things shouted at Wimbledon players today. Especially if they get a penalty.
