January window - go/stay, sign

Morley, Henderson and Scowen - what a New Year line up. Add to that Abbott coming back to fitness and with Mullins and Leahy also competing for midfield slots what a January that would be.

Then Sam Smith on loan from Wrexham and sign a dominant centre back and we are all set for a push for the top six.

We could then let Huggins and McNeiily go back to their parent clubs and loan out or sell Tilley and further possible loans for Skura, Westagaard and Fink.

That’s a bit harsh on Casey. I think he’s deserving of a place on the bench at least with his current form & performances

yeah fair point, he has been good since Duff has come in

I think we all did

We did finally get Craig Faulconbridge though, so……

According to various online sources, including the ever-reliable BFP, Luton Town are also interested in securing Morley’s services. A price tag of Ā£500k has been mentioned.

He would have to be mad to go there.

Yeah, that’s been the story for a few days, Luton fans according to their SM output don’t want him, rather have a striker.

Morley entirely feasible.

Humphreys according to my brother in law (Ipswich Season ticket holder), he has been in and out the team due to injury/form of higher quality players left over from the Prem.

Still seen as one for the future. He is likely to start/feature in the cup against Blackpool on the 10th. If they stay in he may not leave in Jan… the Town also see him going to a lower Championship team like an Oxford or Portsmouth opposed to LG1…

So with Morley, all we have thus far is:

  • We know he likes our club

  • He’s completely out of favour with Schumacher

  • A lot of Bolton fans on X would be happy to sell

  • Bolton need SCMP cash

  • Morley spotted chatting to our CFO near the dugouts.

  • Another poster commented that the Morley family had been put in a box

So absolutely nothing concrete there. But plenty of hope that Santa delivers on this one.

Wycombe v Luton in terms of his choice:

  • Pro: He’s proven at Wycombe

  • Pro: He knows plenty of the team

  • Pro: Fan favourite here

  • Pro: Every player seems to rave about our training facilities

  • Pro: He’s guaranteed football if Duff is a fan, not so at Luton

  • Pro: Club heading in right direction, OG benefits and financial stability with clout when needed

  • Pro: He liked the area he was living down south and seems his partner was happy to up sticks

  • Con: Luton are a bigger club

  • Con: Luton will be able to pay more in wages due to them being Championship last year

  • Con: Blooms no longer at Wycombe (but fortunately, in this context, no longer at Luton either)

Really good points @petef1

I think another ā€œProā€ point would be the admitting from Rice et al. that they made the wrong call last winter and/or that they are listening to our manager/HC on what is NEEDED rather than what data says we need.

Altho the Pro about move South also applies to Luton. He could still live in the area and drive to Luton for training & matches

I think Aaron Morley will be back at Wycombe as soon as the transfer window opens. He loves the area and the club and he fits with what we need. Aaron is also a real good lad. Get him Dano!!!

Looks like bells going back and Harry cornick coming in

If you can’t trust at bcfcshags who can you trust?

If I remember right he’s the one that broke the bell story in the first place coming to us

Was concerned the dream of Morley had gone there and that Morsy was a lazy spelling.

Then remembered even the BFP couldn’t get the first name wrong as well.

The usuals will be debating if that’s bcfcs hags or bcfc shags.

Either way it sounds legit.

Bolton manager apparently saying Morley going nowhere and part of his 1st team squad…lets see if its just a strategy to increase the price tag…that did not work well for them last time round.

could be stalling to bump up the price as you say

And the mind games begin…
