January window - go/stay, sign

McNeilly really seems to have faded away after quite a promising start.

Any whispers on what Bristol City’s plans are for Sam Bell?

I’m utterly convinced we will be signing Morley Humphries and a new striker. That’s one of the reasons Morley isn’t playing. I reckon the deal is done.

Regarding Magnus Westergaard, when he came on as sub against Bolton, the thought crossed my mind that could be his last chance.

However after a few minutes, to get up to speed with the game, some of his touches and vision were superb, there a player in there, and with the manager, were lucky to have now, just maybe he will come good :crossed_fingers:

If (and it’s a big if) this is true, we could be fielding Scowen, Henderson, and Morley in the near future, with Leahy and Westergaard to come on as subs to close out games.

That would surely be the best midfield trio in L1, putting us right in the promotion mix.

those would be incredible signings…maybe a CB as well . my dream team wycombe team would be

Norris

Grimmer

Anders

Allen

Harvie

Henderson (8)

Humphries (10)

Morley (6)

Fred

Bell

Sam Smith

Subs

MVS

Back

New CB

Leahy

Scowen

Junior

New Striker

Morley’s family were in one of the boxes on Saturday which as far as I am aware isn’t standard treatment for visiting players’ families.

For Morley, he would be aware we tried to sign him after his loan expired, was rumoured we enquired in thr summer aswell. He gets a chat with the chairman when hes a visiting player, and his family looked after.

You’d think if he had choices, all of the above would go towards showing we want him.

I think at Morleys age and his current situation at Bolton before and after his loan spell with us its about finding somewhere to call home and enjoy his football again. He has that with us, and he knows it. Going anywhere else would be a risk to have a repeat of the Bolton situation. Some people will say Bloomfield has gone and he got the best out of him so he may not want to come back with him not being here anymore. But he still has Leahy, Scowen, Grimmer, Harvie here. All big names at this football club, and i am sure they will vouch for Duff so there will be no worries there.

This is how he felt about the club when he was a loan player.

I’m expecting a full on sloppy kiss of the badge if we sign him on a permanent.

Glad you mentioned ā€œof the badgeā€.

It’s highly unusual for a player not in the match day squad, to travel down hundreds of miles in his tracksuit and train on his own. In front of the fans who adored him. Whilst his wife and Children travel down on the last Saturday before Christmas, knowing he won’t be playing. And watching the game from a Wanderers hospitality box.

One can only imagine a deal has been done, and I have a feeling we may getting a Christmas present before the 25th, even though he can’t play until the New Year.

What a Christmas present for the fans that would be. I’m convinced after Saturday that he’s coming.

If there’s ever an argument for him signing it’s what you’ve written there. Surely must be.

Love it.

But don’t we have a guy posting who reckons he has a very close ā€œinā€ to the top brass who reckons there’s nothing at all doing?

Hope he’s wrong.

This is all I want for Christmas. Apart from world peace obviously.

I’ve checked with Dan, and I can confirm that the data does not support world peace

If I had to pick, I’d pick Morley signing for Wycombe
