Match day thread: Bradford 6th April 2026 (H)

I hope he doesn’t blame the mindset.

I only wanted to win the B&B this season anyway.

Another day of money well spent on the set piece coach.

Harvie had a poor game. We really struggle without width.

We look good when theres a purpose and speed going forward .

Mullins is really good, when hes fit he needs to play

The end of the Lomm Good Friday where a range of expressions cross our owner’s face before settling on ‘what the fuck have I bought?’

Chalk that one up to the ref

the way that Duff has treated Fink quite frankly is disgusting, Duff is the big sam of league 1

Totally bullied by a better side, table doesnt lie.

We need to dispense of Taylor, Allen and Norris in the summer, none of them are up to it.

Didn’t address big issues in January. Goalkeeper and centre half. Didnt sign Reach despite it being blatantly obvious to anyone with eyes. Owners fault. We’ve finished the season with a bunch of League 2 standouts who aren’t good enough for League 1 and with a load of unfit players or misfits that we’ve either panic signed or rushed back into the fold because of poor recruitment elsewhere. Rice, Rice, baby.

To me, that was on Duff. I know a lot of people really rate him - to me he’s a bang average boss who goes far too defensive too quickly, picks bizarre players and doesn’t drop people who should be, rarely makes the right substitutions at the right time, lacks animation on the touchline, never takes responsibility when his tactics get it wrong and lacks skills when it comes to man management.

Is he as bad as Dodds? No. Is he good enough to get us up next season? I’m not particularly confident. It may be Easter but Mr Duff is not the second coming.

I’m a little unsure what Duff was meant to do differently, 3 subs due to injuries limits what options you have. Added to that is the already long pre-game injury list that limited the team he could pick.

Add to that our players inability to deal with the physicality from Bradford which significantly contributed to the result today.

Of course we are all disapppointed in this weekends results but given where we were under Dodds at the start of the season, to finish in the top half of the table was something we would all have been happy with. Duff started with a team bereft of confidence, short in a number of positions & appearing to be totally confused tactically; to get us to where we are today & to have delivered some of the football we have all enjoyed (albeit not often enough) is a spectacular return. Let’s see what he can do with a summer window & full pre-season before we judge him too harshly.

What would you have done?

We are a bang average team so Duff fits us well!

such a mediocre division this year, and we’ve thrown away so many points. Hard to believe we’ll get a better opportunity to blunder into the playoffs anytime soon.

:100: but some of the poster on here are obsessed with him, he should be getting more from the players he has, we will finish mid table with him, he is not a top end league 1 manager and people with eyes know this

At least people without eyes won’t be able to read your whinges.

Reach? Not sure he screamed sign me after his stint last season. Hes done well at Lincoln it seems but getting rid wasnt really a bad call.

I think though our squad is pretty much all good enough for league one. Need to add a few and we can hopefully get a challenge next season

I do think the manager needs to be, a bit more adventurous though.

And you clearly know nothing about football based on your comments.

Very harsh. He was dealt a poor hand and took over with us in relegation places. Had us talking about playoffs.

If he is allowed to bring his own players in we will compete next season. I say if, because I worry Rice will dictate transfers again.

Honestly though just get rid of Norris though please

The thing about pre-billions Wycombe is that we signed castoffs who all felt they had something to prove, so every week they went out to try to prove it. We got rid of nearly all of them and replaced them with an entitled bunch of overpaid prima donnas who think they have a divine right to win and they shouldn’t have to put in any effort. Welcome to corporate football.

He does make some odd decisions, and is a bit defensive. But, at times we have played some wonderful football. We just need to do it away aswell.
