Match day thread: Bradford 6th April 2026 (H)

Apart from Vidigal’s fine goal I’m not sure there was much else in the flair & creativity dept.

Depressing Easter where we have been weak at the back and pretty impotent going forward.

I reckon we will finish in the bottom half of the table.

Major surgery needed in the summer, just don’t remind me how that went last summer.

Getting Barnsley into the playoffs suggests that he is a top end League One manager.

We need more muscle and fewer than half a team injured at a critical stage of the season.

It will be very interesting to see if ML continues to spend to try and improve the team, or whether he will have had enough of wasting his money on buying players. Even more focus on the academy next season may be his way forward and leave Duff to get a tune out of what we have.

know more than you think, can see when certain players are not good enough (Allem, Woodrow as a 9, Grimmer) and the coach is poor and too negative to.do anything with us, hope.he move on

Doesn’t need major surgery at all. We need some pace up front and wide. A goalie and maybe a right back.

But we have some good players.

Should give MvS a chance now, a good opportunity for him.

Duff won’t as he is stubborn and will start all his chummies

I would have no issues with him having a run. Id like to see Lowry at 10. I think he can actually thread a pass or Mullins, though he us better more midfield.

I want Fink to play, just to solidify one reason over the other. Im not fussed about Lowe unless we are signing him ( i would)

To compete at the top of this league we need to get more physicality into the team along with quality.

If you did want to criticise Duff, and this is even with many big home wins, it does feel like the goals are more individual moments of class, rather than well worked team play.

Again, its just a feeling on sight, but id be interested to know what our average xG is, compared to how well weve performed. At this moment, I cannot be arsed to look it up

Reach was great at left back when allowed to play there. Dodds decided to play him as a right sided playmaker because he’s an idiot. Lincoln are top of the table and outstanding. Reach starts every game. No one can claim it was a good decision to let him go for free. We’ve signed a bunch of bozos instead. Reach also could’ve replaced Boyd-Munce like for like today but instead Duff opted for a formation change. Poor recruitment.

9th or 10th is probably where we deserve to finish.

We left ourselves really short up front and Harvie aside haven’t anyone above solid in defence.

Some good midfield options but big question marks on the best way to fit them in.

So I’d say we do need a decent overhaul in the summer if we have any hopes of being a proper contender.

Keeper, Bradley esque Centre back, striker as an absolute essential three signings.

Then another striker/wide attacker too.

Probably have plenty of numbers and squad filler.

I was relaxed about Reach but gutted about Bradley. Though we all know he wouldn’t come back

He isnt getting in at left back over Harvie though?

He didnt stand out to me as a miss. In fact, im not sure nany we released did.

Positional cover experienced pro. That’s why Lincoln are where they are. Reach has 500+ EFL apps, most from midfield. We’ve lacked midfield grit all season. Harvie shouldn’t have to play 40+. He was also our worst player today. Maybe because he’s knackered after 40+ games. Two of which in quick succession where he’s been crap in both. He’s a superb player. But it’s poor planning. Who is his backup?

Allen is LB cover i guess, he played there when needed.

Reach may have been a miss. I just didnt really see it, and im still not sure it would give us a big difference.

I also wonder if he would have wanted the upheaval. Hes a North East lad, generally played in the North or Midlands. Like Bradley a move into leafy Bucks wasnt needed at that stage of his career.

Unlike Morley and CBM who seeming embracing it ( im on insta, I accept im old for it though).

I do think, ( was it you who said it?) starting a season with CBM and Morley in the middle will be a big thing though. If we can build around them, with Hendo and Mullins, we do have a shot.

That was an awful 2nd half. Didn’t think Bradford had enough to beat us and, as silly as it sounds after a 2-1 loss, don’t think Bradford were better than us.

Looks like three injuries with no wide attacking options on the bench did for us today.

As bad as I thought the ref was, I don’t particularly think it helps anyone’s cause constantly moaning about his decisions to him, every time. He’s not going to change his mind, or help you on the next decision.

That goes for those WWFC representatives off the pitch as well as those on it.

A semi-wise person told me that some posters have just got it in for some players? I wonder if that statement can be used for non-playing staff too….?

Funny listening to him so outwardly say how this bunch are not the “old wycombe” to Cecil who has seen it all
