Match Day Thread: Fulham 28th Oct 2025 (EFL Cup)

Probably best if you go to bed, you’re embarrassing yourself

Brilliant effort from the team today, solid selection & substitutions from Duff.

Penalties is always a lottery & we almost did it. Nice touch at the end from the Fulham players to show our boys respect.

Some neanderthal on the terrace threw something

Every one of those players can hold their head up high. I’m actually warming to this squad now.

We need Anders in and on pens.

can only echo the general opinion on here, classic cup performance, great togetherness, energy, and solidity at the back, and tactics bang on from Duff.

The Fred penalty was the most disappointing bit, but otherwise that was a pleasing show all round.

Imagine how differently that game would have gone under The Doddsfather.

I think he was complaining about their keeper being off his line

We’ve got a league to win, don’t need extra games. Anders immense, Hendo imperious.

Very good defensive team performance , the only thing i would say is we need another striker in Jan . Duff will be delighted we defended like our life’s depended on it .

Jist saw this, that “could” be violent conduct? No attempt to play the ball.

Post match loss is usually anger, silence, frustration, then bed.

Not today, feels ok even though we lost as the old saying goes, more than ever, need to focus on the league.

tbf the overly-maligned Doddsinho oversaw a penalty shootout win in north Kent

Anders has to start and get him on penalties too .

Did Anders step up, was good in final 10. I do think hes a decent player.

Good to hear Rhino enthusing about the team..’they’ll be fine’ etc. Dunno if anyone heard Rice being interviewed before the game..maybe I’m biased but it sounded unconvincing at best

I’ll disagree with you here Oily, and will even dare to bring up stats with it.

0 successful dribbles, 0 successful crosses, and the penalty was woeful. The worst player on the pitch for us.

I’ll edit that, as the natural answer is he was up against a strong PL defender. Sure, but to not win a thing, and give away so many fouls in the process, is poor.

he did indeed, but the class of opponent was a smidge different in those circumstances.

And we didn’t have the power of a “feral youth pitch invasion” (as I like to think the Evening Standard would have labelled the slightly over-exuberant kids popping on the grass afterwards) to back us tonight.

Overly maligned? He was fookin horrific

We looked very organised and a great goal from Woodrow. A bit disappointed with McNeilly but he is young and these experiences will pay dividends for him. Anders played really well and so did Henderson. To be honest, a great shift from all the lads. Penalties are so cruel.
