Great 1st half. We’ll need to score more though, Connolly is giving us the run around. Reminds me of Alfie May in the 5-5 with Cheltenham a few years back. This could go the same way if aren’t careful.
The yellow card for their keeper was a poor decision. If he only saw it as a yellow, why did he not play the advantage? We had the ball and the goal was empty, just play on if he deems it not to be a red.
A softer touch from Fred to stay in better control of the ball would have seen a red, by the time he would have touched it again there would have been cover unfortunately.
Not every comment is serious. I’m enjoying the discussion. You saw where I’m watching the game from, right? Please be assured that have a lot of chill coursing through my veins right now. Perhaps take your own advice?
Maybe, I’ve only seen it once tbh so would like to see it again. Like I say, really depends where in the pitch he realistically would have fit his next touch on the ball. Often the ball travels significantly quicker than a player ever could after the heavy touch.
I think the only thing that could have made the ref go for a yellow (other than needing an urgent visit to Specsavers) is feeling that the ball would have been too wide by the time Fred could have got to it.
