I would. also include Junior, Vidigal and Taylor ….based on last few months performances
Not sold on Taylor . Vidigal appears to be included in Duff’s group of players who fall short on attitude and Junior is just too light weight for me. He could probably still offer something from the bench.
Time will tell how positive that sort of comment is.
Think he scored 15 for Wigan this season
Away from the team for a moment… I’ve read some murmurings about our kit which there’s been a few comments here and there on X. Never really paid it any attention and then had a look at the club shop and all our replica kits are on offer.
So I suspect we will be in a new strip next season.
I wonder if the Hummel deal is up? All those kids in the £25 tops are going to be out of date next season (possibly). Looks like Mummy and Daddy will be forking out again!
Home kit was new this season wasn’t it?
Was Hummel on one of those awkward “odd” year contracts meaning there would have to be a 1 year change?
And in the past has it actually been a new shirt or just a new sponsor with the same design?
Going off on a tangent, but if all three kits are discontinued this summer I will be very pissed off indeed. I have bought all three kits for my son and it isn’t cheap.
Hummel signed a 5 year deal in 2023
You’re quite right, just saw that after some further googling.
So I wonder if this is the ‘mid contract’ strip and the next one will be a 2 year one… Otherwise, it doesn’t make any sense in discounting the existing kit.
Or it’s simply an “end of season sale to clear some stock before everyone forgets about league football for 3 months”
That is most likely the case. I just have my suspicions.
You sound like a marketing managers dream. That’s why they release so many …
We should sell Manchester City and Chelsea kits, those kids will lap ‘em up.
Smacks of a lack of leadership On the pitch, someone to drive the head coaches instructions forward on the pitch during the game, give a bollocking to players not giving their all, and an arm around those trying their best but maybe having a stinker.
Sell Norris non stick gloves as ovengloves to house wives. You can use them multiple times, as nothing ever sticks to them, no need to wash.
Defo keep Junior, real fan favourite, can conjure up something when everything else is failing. Exciting and entertaining player on his day, and that’s what it’s all about after all. Perhaps with more experience the other attributes needed to be a regular starter will come, but if he can come off the bench and give us an edge then that’s good enough for me. Kids love the goal celebration too.
I guess it depends on your perspective. I’d far prefer to watch a team set up to score goals even if that leaves them open to conceding too. You might lose 3-4, draw 3-3 or win 4-3, depending on the day. I’d prefer to watch that than a team set up to win 1-0, draw 0-0 or lose 0-1 any day of the week.
It comes down to whether you preferred watching Wycombe under John Gorman or Peter Taylor.
Neither did it for me, somewhere in between is ideal. I gave up on Gorman when we lost 8-3 to Aston Villa, 3-1 up at the break but going all out for the fourth goal in the second half. Duff is that in between.
You’d rather zero points than one? What a strange take. Almost as strange as your animal noises nonsense.
Players like Junior and Vidi will always split opinions, I like them both. At the end of the day though, there has to be some end product. Managers jobs depend on it.
