Low expectations here given our away form, and lack of game-changing options off the bench.
I think itâll probably turn into a grindy war of midfield attrition, but if nothing else we can handle those way better under Duff than we ever could under Dodds.
No anticipation of this being either one for the neutral entertainment-wise, or a good advert for the third tier, but weâve got a chance of at least something.
We have the worst away form in League One, the only team not to have won at least two games away from home, only Rotherham have picked up less points on the road than us due to our six draws.
If we are to push towards the Playoffs then this is a game we should be targeting for 3 points. My heart says we can do it but my head says a point is all we can hope for.
Hoping for a Fink winner.
Will start my lengthy journey up to Northampton shortly. Only realised yesterday after purchasing my train and match tickets that thereâs no trains in and out of Marylebone today!
Also donât have high hopes for today. Weâll need to produce our home form on the road, which is something weâve failed to do this season. Confident Duff will sort it, but itâll take time. The lack of options off the bench today wonât help. Would be content with a draw, a Fink goal would certainly make the long trip worthwhile.
Surely if Rotherham have fewer points than us, they have a worse away record than us?
Wonder if Henderson will be fit for an early return today?
Even accounting our poor away record, given our performance against Wimbledon last time out and performance against Northampton at home I feel this is one we can win.
And great that we are wearing blue.
Come on Wycombe!
First time poster. Or at least on this incarnation of the Gasroom. 2nd trip of the season to Sixfields today and hoping it wonât be anywhere near as crap as that Mickey Mouse cup game was. Hereâs hoping! ![]()
The H2H is littered with 0-0, 1-1 and 1-0 scorelines so might not be one for goal hunters. Iâd definitely take a scrappy 1-0 off Andersâ shin. Theyâve only scored 22 goals this season. If we can avoid a customary clanger then surely we have enough to shut them out.
A scrappy 1-0 off Andersâ shin is wishful thinking, you just know itâs going to be a scrappy 1-0 courtesy of either the most beautiful goal in existence (which in fairness could be Andersâ scoring with his shin) or the ugliest own goal in existence instead.
I think weâll edge a seven goal thriller. Northampton 3 - Mighty Blues 4.
I personally think both goalkeepers will be bending their backs picking the ball out of the net.
I see this game being quite open and end to end, especially if Duff has his way, he constantly says the team is often too slow on the build up & heâs had almost a fortnight to remedy this in training!
I hope youâre right, but the Alanis Morissette song âIronicâ springs to mind, especially if itâs an own goal!
â Isnât it Ironic, âŚdonât you Fink!â![]()
Match day finally! Thank goodness for that!
Letâs hope 2026 brings a change to our away form.
Have a great day all that are going today!
Weâve the fewest wins in the league away from home.
But technically are as âhighâ as 5th worst away record including goal difference and points.
Time to bring Stuart Roberts in on loan from Camarthen Town.
Wiki seems to think heâs still playing there but find it hard to believe.
Horrendous train issues today. Cancellations from Euston, big delays from St Pancras if youâre heading through London
SPARE U14s TICKET
I have a spare ticket if anyone wants it for today? No charge.
Thanks for the tip off, looks like the Elizabeth Line is ok.
maye lommy could fly over the theatre in his private jet in a recreation of that phil collins -concorde bollocks.
