Low expectations here given our away form, and lack of game-changing options off the bench.

I think it’ll probably turn into a grindy war of midfield attrition, but if nothing else we can handle those way better under Duff than we ever could under Dodds.

No anticipation of this being either one for the neutral entertainment-wise, or a good advert for the third tier, but we’ve got a chance of at least something.

We have the worst away form in League One, the only team not to have won at least two games away from home, only Rotherham have picked up less points on the road than us due to our six draws.

If we are to push towards the Playoffs then this is a game we should be targeting for 3 points. My heart says we can do it but my head says a point is all we can hope for.

Hoping for a Fink winner.

Will start my lengthy journey up to Northampton shortly. Only realised yesterday after purchasing my train and match tickets that there’s no trains in and out of Marylebone today!

Also don’t have high hopes for today. We’ll need to produce our home form on the road, which is something we’ve failed to do this season. Confident Duff will sort it, but it’ll take time. The lack of options off the bench today won’t help. Would be content with a draw, a Fink goal would certainly make the long trip worthwhile.

Wonder if Henderson will be fit for an early return today?

Even accounting our poor away record, given our performance against Wimbledon last time out and performance against Northampton at home I feel this is one we can win.

And great that we are wearing blue.

First time poster. Or at least on this incarnation of the Gasroom. 2nd trip of the season to Sixfields today and hoping it won’t be anywhere near as crap as that Mickey Mouse cup game was. Here’s hoping! :crossed_fingers:t2:

The H2H is littered with 0-0, 1-1 and 1-0 scorelines so might not be one for goal hunters. I’d definitely take a scrappy 1-0 off Anders’ shin. They’ve only scored 22 goals this season. If we can avoid a customary clanger then surely we have enough to shut them out.

A scrappy 1-0 off Anders’ shin is wishful thinking, you just know it’s going to be a scrappy 1-0 courtesy of either the most beautiful goal in existence (which in fairness could be Anders’ scoring with his shin) or the ugliest own goal in existence instead.

I personally think both goalkeepers will be bending their backs picking the ball out of the net.

I see this game being quite open and end to end, especially if Duff has his way, he constantly says the team is often too slow on the build up & he’s had almost a fortnight to remedy this in training!

We’ve the fewest wins in the league away from home.

But technically are as “high” as 5th worst away record including goal difference and points.
