What is that clown doing in the squad, never mind the team?
Im not surprised by that
I guess playing Norris is the manager backing his keeper. Not sure I would have done so. Letâs see what happens tonight, but that is a big call. Hope I am wrong and the manager is right.
Are Van Sas and Moore really that bad in Duffâs eyes that theyâre not considered to start in goal despite Norris dropping that performance last time out? Or does Norris have Duffâs family held hostage, and thatâs why he keeps starting?
ABBOTT!
I think he may get a new keeper in January
Another manager who hasnât got the balls to make easy decisions to drop players who wouldnât even get in a league two side.
Unfortunately heâs best of a bad bunch.
We can only hope he will replace our shit keeper with an experienced goalie is more confident, there must be decent keepers out there who for one reason or another are without a club but they canât be any worse than the clown Norris.
The funny thing is that Norris should be the experienced goalkeeper with confidence, given he was a promotion-winning one at Portsmouth who got in the Team of the Season for League One that year. Baffles the mind why it hasnât worked for him at Wycombe when he was clearly alright at Portsmouth.
Norris being picked shows that Duff just picks his mates , when Taylor, Tilley, Caeey make mistakes they get dropped , I am sorry to say but Duff is pathetic
Strange how many of our managers seem to pick their mates, hmm
Great news about Abbott!!
With regards to Norris, Duff clearly knows what heâs doing.
Expecting a big turnaround from Leahy tonight, he was very off colour against Luton.
Penny for Mr Van Sasâs thoughts tonight
Agree with all of the decisions except the goalkeeping one. What can Duff do? The rest are dross. Great to see Abbott back. Hopefully not long before Josh is back too.
I would argue that a keeper is often the easiest position to recruit, particularly on a temporary basis. Many Premier League teams have a young, talented 3rd or 4th choice keeper who needs playing time. Look at Whitworth at Exeter (on loan from Palace) and Keeley at Orient (Spurs) last season. Getting a decent striker is much more difficult.
I suspect Duff does what heâs employed to do. Pick the best team in his eyes, with the players at his disposal, to play the team in front of us.
Norris is an experienced goalie who has played in all leagues, and recently was in league one team of the year. Hes the sort of goalkeeper we should sign. Its odd it isnt quite working out.
That said, Managers rarely drop a keeper on the back of a really bad game.
A tough one this. This decision by Duff would suggest he doesnât rate Van Sas or Moore and both could depart in January. A new keeper likely in January but he doesnât want to piss off the only keeper he rates until he brings someone else in.
Back in the echo chamber? I thought you were off to a far superior forum?
