Could be that Van Sas’ dad knows he is going.

Im confused with Boyd Munce, is he purely a leahy replacement. Im not sure hes any worse though.

Really disappointed to see Norris starting tonight. Not only were his mistakes examples of clear deficiencies in his ability, but his attitude absolutely stunk. I’ve never had an issue with him not “clapping the fans" at full time as some do, but he showed a clear lack of effort and ultimately respect at Luton. Duff must really not rate Van Sas.

To be honest, didn’t several Portsmouth fans say that even though Norris won Keeper of the Year, it was mainly because the defence in front of him was excellent that season and was able to snuff out attacks before they had a chance to shoot?

Duff interviews makes out he is the scary boss but based on players he selects; this is not further from the truth , genuinely is he any different to Dodds? lets see what he does in Jan, then will make final judgement on hi.

Expecting an early Wycombe goal tonight, followed by 85+ minutes of outstanding goal keeping to earn us a 0-1 away win.

playing his mates…not the sign of a good manager , easy to drop players like Taylor, Tilley and Casey….

Wishful thinking and I’d take that result but I admire your optimism to expect outstanding goalkeeping and a clean sheet from the lad that made 3 horrendous errors and conceded 4 last week.

Whilst I wanted to see Moore or van Sas given a chance following the dreadful performance by Norris the other day, I do understand why Duff has stuck with him. Plus we really are not blessed with an excess of talent in the GK department.

I am very pleased to see Abbott back in the squad, I think he gives Mullins decent competition & that ought to improve both of them.

I might have been inclined to give CBM a run out instead of Leahy but again get why Duff has stuck with him, he may be a bit of a journeyman L1 player but this season hasn’t done much wrong (for me or clearly for Duff - other opinions/views are available)

Two sides with fragile temperaments. First goal could be critical. No idea what’s going to happen.

Is he any different from Dodds?? Seriously?!? Are you ignoring the run of his 14 games where he only lost once because of a refereeing mistake?! Dodds never had that form, Dodds was a blundering mess at interviews & it was clear that he either didn’t have a clue how to communicate with players or how to lead them effectively.

Just because the club appointed a manager that you don’t think was suitable or “the right choice” doesn’t mean you have to keep badgering us all with this theory. The fact that NOONE supports this view should tell you something.

We all want Wycombe to succeed and yes, we’ll always have a slightly different view on things but why does it feel like you are always constantly pulling in the opposite way to everyone else?

Leahy is Duffs mate and will never get dropped, just like Norris ….weak management

I find Duff says the right words but does not have the convictions to apply them…how the f can you start Norris after that horrow show ?. as I said its weak management

If anything, it’s the opposite. It would be easy to drop Norris, but he hasn’t. That’s bold management. I don’t agree with his decision, but I respect his opinion more because it’s bold. Few managers would do as Duff has done here.

I think Norris has to give a much better account of himself today or will face serious heat from Duff. Everyone is allowed to have an “off” day but its the rebound that’ll make or break a player’s stay at a club.

While Moore & van Sas are waiting in the wings (tbf Moore has always been a 3rd choice keeper wherever he’s been), hopefully this pressure should ignite something in Norris.

I’m pleased he’s kept with Anders & Casey, if he made a handful of changes in defence, that could end up being more harmful than helpful but we need to strike first tonight. If we conceed, I think several heads will drop and the game will drift passed them

Leahy is one of the exact reasons why Van Sas can’t get into the team. Leahy’s distribution is either getting it in midfield and giving it straight back to the defence or hoofing it up with his left foot over his right shoulder. The guy literally either comes looking for the ball but does nothing with it when he gets it, loses it and is way too slow to get it back, or just blames everyone else for his mistakes by putting his arms around like a petulant child. Just watch him tonight if you don’t believe me. I would love him to find some form, but we have no spine in this team at all.

Can’t happen again though……can it ?

I 100% agree with @frequentstander . If Duff doesn’t back his players at their worst, how can you expect them to back him when he really needs them?
