Itās probably the rotten results speaking, but you donāt look at our squad and think, thatās definitely had huge money spent on it, do you?
Iām not anti Leahy, just neutral, but it seems incredible he still starts with 4 new signing midfielders on the bench. In a role heās not particularly cut out for.

Itās the first team selection and set up that makes sense this season. I donāt hold out much hope for a result, but maybe this is a step forward for Dodds in terms of getting his ideas across.
No thatās happened.
Donāt think both have played a full 90 together though.

not much hope if we have Udoh as our number 9, recruitment team need questioning as not acceptable not to gave a number.9 for all games so far

Iām actually super relaxed about this game and being outcome focussed well I donāt really care whether we win or lose, providing I can get on board with our style.

Grimmer RWB in a 5?
If we do play like that I think the key is Allen and probably Anders getting forward as they have in bits. If itās an unambitious 5 with Leahy and Mullins sitting deep to cover and coming back to pick up the ball off the defenders and then Magnus and Junior feeding on scraps it will be a long afternoon.
Iām hoping itās 4 at the back with Allen wide of the front 3 to be honest.

Thereās a horrible inevitability about how this game will pan out. Our passing will need to be absolutely brilliant to get anything out of this. Weāll need to take our chances when they come, because there wonāt be many. I really hope we can do it, because Stevenage are one of those clubs we love to turn over.
Just hope Boyd-Munce, Henderson and Tilley get on early in the second half. Finishers on the hour perhaps.

However, looking at that formation, could either Harvie or Allen be playing left winger and Grimmer is part of a back 4?
Its interesting that we havenāt named any defensive cover on the bench. What happens if Grimmer gets injuried?
Leahy is just not a No.6 though. Surely Dodds will have seen that in the opening five games? Surely? You have to worry who can break things up in that side.
Allen came on at left wing last Saturday with Harvie at left back. I think thatās more likely than a back 3/5.

the squad is super talented , the 2 major issues are
Leahy is NOT a number 6 and we need him out of the team
Udoh is NOT a number 9 and this is killing us
Cue a 2-0 win, with Leahy and Udoh getting the goals.

If weāve invested all this money on midfielders this year and have six on the bench today, serious questions have to be asked about our recruitment strategy if we then play a central defender as left winger.
