Looking forward to the game today, my first of the Duff era. It is also my first time at Wimbledon. How have others found trips there?

The crowd is quite posh,
The prices are high,
If we don’t win,
I want to know why.

I know they’re the anti-Franchise and that should mean there’s a soft spot but I’ve always found AFCW to be a niggly, bogey team. Would be great to beat them and lay down another marker in the embryonic Duff era. For the first time in yonks, I have some confidence that this can happen today. COYB!

This is always how I’ve felt about Wimbledon. We should really be brothers in arms - the franchise took their team and half our county.

But in reality I find their fanbase fairly miserable and the games themselves always a bit unpleasant.

Unfortunately our record against them over a good few seasons now has been truly abysmal - which is why I’ve reined in my score prediction but, who knows, we have the talent, properly set up and motivated, to lay this particular bogey.

I read somewhere that, although we haven’t scored too many goals lately, an incredibly high number of individual players have “found the net”. Just a couple today and we should be fine.

A point would be a good result today.

No it wouldn’t!

On that subject, Wimbledon haven’t drawn a league game yet (five wins, four defeats).

Currently wishing I’d got an earlier train from Wycombe, this one is rammed.

Good luck @Twizz. Enjoy the game. Will your son be there today?

Maybe my thoughts are impacted by our poor record - I’m not sure I’ve ever seen us play well at the new Plough Lane. Hopefully today is a first!

If we have thoughts about avoiding a relegation battle then you take a point today.

If we have thoughts of turning the season around and going for the top six you take nothing less than three points today.

I think the quality and mentality of the squad and manager has thoughts on the latter.

Would be delighted with a point today, we always struggle against Wimbledon and it’s never a good game.

Whilst admiring what they’ve achieved, I’m another who has very little time for their fanbase. Unpleasant bunch!

Why do people think past results against a team, from previous seasons, with both teams made up of totally different players may have a bearing in the result of today’s game? Sorry, I do not get it.

Good side. I’d have like Huggins in the squad after Tuesday.
