The current Torquay United Women were formed in 2013 but only fully integrated with the main club last summer. Manager Ryan Perks was appointed in July 2025 and is also the First Team Coach for the men’s team. He confirmed this week that the women’s team have a 23 strong squad.
They have been something of a yo-yo club in recent seasons, promoted in 2022-23 to tier 4, relegated the following season, but promoted again last season when they were unbeaten with 14 wins and 4 draws, scoring 76 and conceding 15, and finishing one point above Forest Green Rovers. The three top scorers in the league last season have all been retained, Connie Pengelly with 18 goals from 12 games, Anthea Kaptein 13 from 15 and Beth Everson 10 from 14.
In the FA Cup last season they beat Southampton Women 3-2 at home in 3QR, in front of 495. In the First Round they drew a home crowd of 1,010 against tier 3 Exeter City, losing 6-0. Home league attendances are not available but we are expecting them to bring quite a few today.

Looks like we are playing something like 4-2-1-3.
First quarter has been all Wycombe, it took Torquay 16 minutes to get into our area, but we haven’t really tested their keeper yet. The front three are looking dangerous.

Do you know if the quarters/hydration break set up is an ongoing initiative in this league or only for the summer months?
