I feel like GA, he is likely to have to take a step back before a step forward, so either a struggling L1 club or mid-lower L2 team.
He did well to turn Col U around, and after a bumpy start had us obviously on the right track.
The fact that heās a young manager also works in his favour I feel - old-schoolers donāt seem to get much of a look-in these days.
Out of the crop of potential contenders (and assuming heāll only consider Southern teams right now), maybe Orient, Posh or Crawley would be the most realistic destinations of clubs where the situation is looking dicey - not that any of those are yet available.
Maybe Orient would be too traumatic, that having been the site of possibly his lowest ebb as WW manager.
But as others have already observed, he should have a decent payout so maybe he will just take a break for a bit.

We sacked Dodds with no regrets and the Luton fans have been complaining about exactly the things we used to with Dodds.They even called him a PE teacher and a clown like we did Dodds.

Anyone with a modicum of class and decency can separate the departure tattle - whatever the reason - from a man who gave his career to our football club. By all means have different thoughts or emotions about him going to Luton, but that does no way diminish from his other achievements and affiliation to the club. He wasnāt a fly by night chancer who left at the earliest opportunity, he was an essential part of the fabric for 20 years. Hard to believe I have to explain that nuance.

Yeah, Iām utterly bewildered by any kind of WW fan negative attitude towards Bloomfield. Iāll stop there as the argumentās been done to deathā¦and then kept going, but still.

You have a valid view on this but it is still just a view.
There are some who rememeber him badge slapping on the Thursday,telling us how
much he loved the club and then joining Luton on the following Tuesday whilst we were in the middle of a promotion push.
Personally I donāt buy into the āhe was pushed outā theory and I think he is instead a very ambitious chap.My view is that Rice changed the role and it didnāt suit Bloomfiled so they fell out.He then attended three interviews whilst telling the Wycombe fans how commited he was to the job and the club and then left us.
I certainly would not have booed him and I canāt say I would have felt very comfortable if it had happened but I think I understand why some would.
I have spoken to many Wycombe fans,most would agree with you but a measurable amount think along the lines that I do.I agree with you on booing being uncalled for but at the same time people calling others names for a differing view is also a little mindless.
I can tell you one thing. Matt Bloomfield being well aware as to how football fans are would probably have been expecting a mixed reception.Emotions run deep and not everyone holds the same opinions.

Genuine unloaded question. Interested in your opinion. For you, do the final few weeks of Bloomfield posturing himself as fully committed and then moving on for a likely 2-3x in salary and future compensation from sacking really overwrite the 20+ years of service to our club as player and manager? Is booing justifiable to you in that scenario?
I understand your take but itās not something I can personally identify with. No axe to grind though. Weāve both made our feelings clear and we move on.

I donāt think anyone wants this to go around in circles again.
Dodds took over a team 2nd in League One and had a worse record than MB who took over a team at the bottom of the Championship.
They are hardly comparable in my opinion.
I didnāt call Dodds a PE teacher and quite frankly itās embarrassing that people feel the need to do this to anyone.
He (MB) should have been given longer IN MY OPINION. Other opinions are available.
I regretted that we sacked Dodds and it did not work out. It doesnāt mean I also didnāt agree with him being relived of his duties.

If you look at my response above I have already said I would not boo and would find it uncomfortable to hear it.This should suggest to you that I am not an advocate of it in this case (precisely because he was at the club for 20 years)

Interestingly having looked on X this evening I would say there are probably about 20-30% of people either commenting similarily to myself or liking posts of this narrative. This doesnāt surprise me as itās at about the ratio I imagined it would be having spoken to quite a few about it personally since he left us.

You do realise that people can be completely and utterly in love with something but also have to leave because of their own mental health and sanity when their position becomes untenable. If that happens to be a person working for a company they love, then generally they need another job before leaving.
Itās been done to death before but there are several people close to the club and Matt who have insinuated he was constructively dismissed.
Iām sure at some point in the future they will share their sides of the story.
