Michael Duff

It’ll be interesting to hear how much he sounds like Dodds and how much his own ideas are discernible

So i just googled “Michael Duff management style“ …

Michael Duff’s managerial style is characterised by an aggressive, high-pressing approach with a preference for a physical, high-octane brand of football, often utilising a 3-5-2 formation

so far, so good…

…However, a key criticism has been a perceived lack of a “Plan B,”

no PLAN B??! oh god- not again! :joy:

Joking aside - wishing the new man all the best. He sounds like a solid choice for his time at Barnsley and Cheltenham, and sounds abit hard doen by at Huddersfield.

Must admit - haven’t enjoyed it on here last few weeks - can we all just get behind the team to get some points on the board the next few months, pretty please? luv ya x

I agree to be honest. I dont really prefer to be on the Gasroom at the best of times (No offence lads), but even these last few weeks ive never seen this much of a harmony against a manager.

I do like the appointment of Michael Duff, hopefully he can imbed at least a better cohesion of players and inject some optimism in the short term

Dodds remained unbeaten in the BJ’s.

Careful Matron!

You must know what you’re doing with these posts

I look forward to the first interview. I shall refer to him as MD2. An abbreviation of MD2.0.

Amazing how things change isn’t it? I was quite relaxed about missing Saturday and now i’m re-arranging my whole weekend.

Seems to tick an awful lot of boxes.

Both as a player and a manager.

The last Northern Irishman didn’t do too badly, did he?

From Doddsball to a duff manager, what a day to be alive!

Imagine the scenes on Saturday, nicking a scruffy last minute winner with the massed banks of the Wycombe faithful chanting,
“ We are staying up” late into the night.

‘Some other geezer’ is the bloke who assembled our current stellar squad.

I’m sure not the players are the problem, but i guess we’re about to find out.

Sound appointment. Now will see if it’s Dodds whose been the problem or it’s the expensively assembled players.Still waiting @Chairboys80 alternative.

At least we can decide if it’s an absolute pig in makeup of a squad, or if Dodds managed them sooo criminally, they soar like angels under the right manager.

Or potentially somewhere in the middle before some gasroom legend uses the word “nuance” to try and sound profound.

That’ll be the interesting thing. I’m not sure the squad is quite as good as some people believe it is, but it does feel like it’s been under-achieving.

Happy with this appointment. A disciple of Sean Dyche, the world’s greatest football manager. Maximum effort and commitment is what it’s all about now, Wycombe fans love that.

Anyone else got a huge spring in their step at today’s news?

We have a fine manager/coach to go with a wonderful squad.

There is much cause for optimism.

We should do well under this formula in spite of Rice’s running the show and the less than perfect stuff in the background.

Champions by Easter?!

However good MD2 (thanks @micra ) is (or isn’t) he is not going to be able to turn it around overnight as I do think we are weak in central defence and will let in a fair few goals.

I’d be more than happy with mid table safety now this season.

Really good appointment experience of management in the division , Saturday might be a bit too early but he’s steady the ship and then who knows I admit it I’m a little bit hopeful.

I share that concern @bookertease. But I do think Duff will give us better defensive organisation and through that reduce the number of freebies we give the opposition.

Van Sas or Norris will be a big early call for him.
