Mike Dodds Stats

Changed my post. But Dev C is without any doubt a troll. A very successful one if the likes of you, who are like a gasroom gatekeeper of standards don’t see it!

What’s that quote? The Devil’s bestings work is convincing peeps he doesn’t exist”?

(might not be the exact words)

I’ve already got Bargey on a retainer to fight the case when this fella tries to renege (under used word) on it in years to come.

Gasroom Gatekeeper has made my day!

Even though you’re slightly younger than me, you always feel a little like my forum dad who I need approval from.

He reached the Championship, that’s a fact.

Period? We don’t say that in the UK.

Ironic too that he also doesn’t seem to know how to use a full stop.

Give Gaz Dodds’ funds and there’s a good chance that we’d become an established Championship side.

Give Dodds Gaz’s time and there’s a good chance we’d have the best pass completion stats in the National League South.

One for the stattos. The Gasroom had its highest post count yesterday, since we took the site over in March.

Interesting to see that our defensive stats confirm the eye test that we’re no longer remotely dominant in the air and that we lose far more duels - both on the ground and in the air - than our theoretical rivals.

I’ve only included us Luton, Stockport and Huddersfield players that have made at least two appearances in this season so far. Interesting that while Anders makes lots of passes it appears he’s outmuscled by any forwards that we face.

Although, just to show there’s lies, damned lies and statistics Dan Casey performs best on these stats. So, always take stats as part of a story. In and of themselves in isolation they mean nothing.

I am bringing this up because you mention that the record of Bloomfield and Dodds is comparable over the same time period.

Bloomfield took over bottom championship team and W6 D6 L8 for rest of 24/25 season.

Record at time by previous manager was

W7 D4 L15

total record W9 D6 L9

33 pts from 24 games

PPG previous manager - 0.96

PPG MB Total - 1.375

PPG 24/25 only - 1.2

Since 1st April W6 D2 L3

Dodds by comparison

W7 D6 L10

27 pts from 23

Took over 2nd in the league with the team having W17 D8 L4

PPG previous managers (MB/SG) - 2.03

PPG 24/25 league (not play offs) - 1.47

PPG 24/25 inc play offs - 1.26

PPG Total - 1.17

Since 1st April W3 D3 L8

In fact we have drawn 2 and lost 7 of our last nine league matches including play-offs.

EDIT: I realise you may mean MB first 23 games as Wycombe manager vs Dodds first 23 games. If so, I get your point. I had initially interpreted your statement to be MB at Luton vs MD at Wycombe since Jan/Feb…

Man, those draws were glorious times. Exciting to think we’re only statistically 2.5 games away from picking up another point!

Since 1st March, excluding play off games our results extrapolated over a season would see us gain 53.7pts.

Since 1st April, it would equate to 42 points over the season.

Since 1st Feb, it’s 56.5

Somewhere between 15th and 23rd.

Is Dodds committed to playing this way under ‘the Project’ or is it his way that is being spread as the way the entire academy play?

In other words are we only going to hire coaches that commit to this system? If so, it could be a bumpy ride…

Is that the same Gareth Ainsworth who established us as a top half league one club and got us into the championship and nearly kept us in there on a budget only the fraction of what Dodds has? Maybe there are two of them and I’m getting mixed up with another Gareth Ainsworth
