Mike Dodds

Oh I agree and it should happen more often. But only when you’re losing.

I’m trying to recall which game that was - Shrewsbury? I respected it at the time - it showed the team understood that draws really weren’t good enough. You could argue (and many have!) that we needed similar urgency on other occasions in recent weeks.

It was mentioned more than once in respect of Anis Mehmeti. And by some of the more sane posters too.

I remember on the old Gasroom that Fred was castigated for smiling too much when we were doing badly in the Championship.

It wasn’t stupid at all. Shrewsbury showed no intent to get out of their own half so the correct thing to do in the circumstances. One of the few things I can actually praise Dodds for tactically because it was he who sent Norris up.

yeah I think you’re right

Really like the interview by Dodds today , seems like he is pissed and things will change , encouraged, hopefully delivers on his words

Careful what you wish for… (Joey Barton for example - although both “not so nice man” and playing “attractive positive football” may be stretching the use of language somewhat out of shape).

It might just be me but I find Mike Dodds quite annoying when he does an interview. The main annoyance is where he does that huge air suck in through his teeth. Just breath normally man!

Even as a joke, ‘the way he breathes annoys me,’ is a new low.

I’m surprised he doesn’t swallow his gum!

I’ll say one thing about some posters, they are certainly inventive when it comes to finding something to moan about.

Perhaps he does. It’s a much more civilised method of disposal than spitting it out mid interview.

I have to say MD’s slightly overpronated gait makes me wonder whether he’s cut out for football management.

some posters do make me laugh that Dodds interviews annoy them…get a grip.

I could say the same about most of your contravening posts but I have withheld until now…

I feel a bit sorry for Mike. The football has been dire since he came in, he already had a huge task in replacing a god, but part of me now wants him to get it right and have the last laugh.

Everyone wants him to succeed. There are mixed opinions on whether people think he will or not.

Totally agree. The interviews with MD, inevitably and disappointingly of course, are in such contrast to the relaxed, eye twinkling, empathetic interviews with his predecessor towards the end of his tenure. The most pronounced and significant twinkle was in what proved to be his last interview with @bluntphil.
