Realistically we have zero chance in the play offs based on form. If MD goes tonight then we may get a bounce - realistically that’s the only hope to salvage something this season. There’s been some great moments nevertheless - lots of fantastic away wins especially.

You’d always want someone given enough time to prove themselves but I think if you are in charge you have to seriously consider whether he’ll ever make it as a number one and wether we implode in the next couple of games to a situation that isn’t resolvable. Total loss of fan, player and exec support and a cloud around the place. If we were to lose three or four games at the beginning of next season at the atmosphere be increasingly toxic would he go then and a summer’s planning be wasted.
Sacking him wouldn’t guarantee anything more but I can’t say I’m supportive. When we decided a quiet youth coach who had been here decades wasn’t a good choice why get a raw version of the same from outside?

As long as we are the football playing wing of the academy project then Dodds is safe for now.

I don’t think he is safe. His style of football is a terrible example for the youngsters in the Academy.

The Dodo’s subsititutions killed us today. Nice bloke, but try to seperate the art from the artist.
Fred West laid a great patio, but was an evil sadistic serial killer.
Likewise, Mike Dodds, a decent guy but he’s not up to it. Peter Suddaby MKII. I have no idea of either’s landscaping skills but I feel we need to act now and give the new guy chance to make changes. Get the odious Rice gone too.

A football club that renamed a stand after a sponsor will change its name again, after fans pointed out it included the name of a serial killer.
Southend United sold naming rights for the West Stand at their Roots Hall ground to estate agents Gilbert & Rose.
Now when fans want to buy a ticket, the stadium plan shows availability in the Gilbert & Rose West Stand.

Bloomfield mostly talked sense. Like many managers, when he lost he would fall back on nebulous xG and touch in opposition box data.
But I think its unfair to ever call him vanilla, corporate or nonsensical
