I believe that is Cowman’s and I used to often walk past it about 15ish years ago when I did some work in Clitheroe. Although being vegetarian I never called in.

Yep. Quite an old one but that doesn’t matter of course. Nice restful escape from the real world in a horse chestnut shaded north facing room on a hot afternoon.

We’re not quite there yet with the vegetarianism. I made a sandwich earlier this afternoon with corned beef and Branston pickle (on wholemeal) and we still love sausage and mash but we’re having vegetable lasagne this evening and we eat a lot of fish.
I recorded the Kent v Gloucestershire T20 yesterday but another recording clashed with the Kent innings.
I flicked pretty quickly through the Gloucestershire innings and it was soon pretty obvious that the Kent score was below par. Was that really the Canterbury ground? I’d not seen it for many years and wouldn’t have recognised it. The tree in the outfield went decades ago of course!
Unfortunately it is lacking the charm and soul it had when I first attended in the 1980s. Having said that I believe I haven’t been in person since 2015.
Can I ask something? Why do some members have a star against their name / image?

I was puzzled that you were asking about the gold star until I realised that the system automatically updates username symbols retrospectively! Well done. I’m about to join you (and all the other generous contributors). Fink it’s the right thing to do.
