Isn’t this year’s shirt new?
The Instagram post has an animated image of many previous shirts on. The current one just ends up being the static image.
Why is this happening?
I honestly hope we have one of those mad Internal sponsors. And Kaspi are on the shirts for ridiculous money.
They’ve got to fund paying Fink off somehow.
What would be the point?
I had the thought that the design won’t change but humble, down-home Origin would be replaced by some crypto/bro finance sponsor.
It’ll cause uproar in Deeds Grove. Tremors on Tom Burt’s Hill. More low level disenchantment in Lacey Green. I’m sure it’ll be a talking point at the Fans Forum but probably bigger fish to fry.
Huge sponsorship.
Huge investo into the team.
Or something.
Although i think we can put big wad in anyway with the infrastructure.
Less sure when that infrastructure input ends though, is it per year?
I look forward to some very meek old fella asking the cynical and savvy execs wheeled out what happened to the 1 kit per every 2 years charter and being utterly bedazzled with 10mins of pure corporate speak relayed in a way that makes you feel very silly for even asking.
Depressing, but I think you’re absolutely spot on.
Lets just hope that we don’t get any players to model it as knowing our luck, they’ll be sold or released by the end of the summer and we’ll have to look at them for the next 2 yrs on the website
1 year
Good point but you are forgetting that we have a “Sale” section on the site that will have all of the old kit still available to be sold!
Funds from connected parties don’t count as income for the financial rules so that wouldn’t work
Might invest in a keepers shirt with the lettering ABN on it.
At least it says ‘Up the Chairboys’ and not ‘Up the Wyc’ I suppose.
I’m probably in a small minority, who would love to see that the new strip, would be a return to the plain light blue shirts, navy shorts, and light blue socks that we wore for 25 years.
How have certain teams been doing such things then?
Let’s call them Can Mity and Seachels.
