Would be much more fun if they just let teammates have it out between themselves

And inevitably Everton go 1-0 up

perfect

Strange to think that Manchester United are in their own Dodds nightmare

First time a visiting team has ever won at Old Trafford with 10 men in the Premier League

So Ronaldo should have been banned for the first two games of the World Cup, but FIFA have decided to suspend two games of his ban (he’s already served one). Funny that…

Anyone else watch Chelsea v Barcelona with Prime Vision?

As my boy says “fifa stats”. Was excellent, gives realtime overlays on plays passes, height jumped, names, shot speed etc.

it’s the future

Anyone see Leo Castledine’s free kick goal for Huddersfield last night?

It was a cracker.

Anyone notice that Kone was dropped to the bench the other evening ? In the previous match, he appeared to have been moved behind the front two. Maybe he needs a loan spell with a club whose manager would understand how to get the best out of him.

beat you to it

I knew I shouldn’t have stopped reading the Lincoln matchday thread. How on earth did you transfer that post to this thread?

highlight the text you want to copy and click on ‘copy quote’

then start a new post, click on the left side of the mouse and ‘paste’ the quote into the new post.

Thanks for trying but I still haven’t a scooby do. Maybe that’s a straightforward thing to do on a computer or tablet but I’m limited to my iPhone and it’s not à manoeuvre I’m likely to need to undertake.
I did remember reading your post but it was just your comment about doing something for a fee that stuck in my mind. It’s not a service that I’ll be availing myself of. [Is that even English?]

Hi Mike, just out of curiosity, can you remember your first ever Wycombe Wanderers match?

Not really. But I do remember in my Wealdstone days in the early ‘sixties watching them playing Wycombe when Bernie Bremer and Johnny Hutchinson were still at Lower Mead and I’m pretty sure Len Morley (who I met on the golf course at Wexham Park about ten years ago) was playing for Wycombe.

Worley.

So am I right in thinking it was…

Maidstone United first…
then Wealdstone…
and then the mighty Wycombe Wanderers?

Spot on. Covering 80 years next year.

@Bayo : Can’t believe that I made that mistake - unless I’d been writing/thinking about Aaron M a bit earlier. Also, it was nearly 1 am of course.

I remember being quite excited to bump into such a Wycombe legend and having a brief chat.
