God there are some negative bastards on here . It sounds like half the people on here actually want Rice and Dodds to fail . Players can’t even sign new contracts until Monday . Get over your Bloomfiled /Ainsworth /fan owned emotional hangovers and try and be a little more supportive and positive . This thread makes for a depressing read.

I’ve always hated the rumours thread and hate myself for the inability not to click on it! Last summer I think it clocked up 1,000 increasingly deranged posts before we signed anyone.
Please update the transfer thread when something actually happens though

I thought that the transfer window closed at the end of August, but some of the posts on here seem to think that it is midnight tonight.

Tbf, the transfer window IS closed.
It opened briefly to allow clubs in the World club cup to sign players and then closed again. It opens again on Monday.

It’s the 13th June, pre season hasn’t even started. We’ll likely see atleast 10 new signings and a few more out the door. Ainsworth and Blooms did some brilliant business late in transfer windows.

Good to see a first signing nearly through the door, and seems like quite a versatile and experienced player for his age. Not sure if it’s the right word but I remember being underwhelmed when we signed Dan Harvie (in terms of being a squad player at L2 level and having seemingly reduced minutes at MK) and he was one of our strongest performers up until his injury last season, stepping up after an initial period of adjustment at the start of the campaign.
Hopefully Tilley is another hidden gem that adds to the squad and provides us a different option at a variety of different positions.

Just because Bolton and other clubs have signed a few players doesn’t mean they will be up there. Simon’s signing for Bolton having seen him flatter to deceive at Wycombe doesn’t guarantee anything. Will wait to see who we do sign and see how we start before writing the season off .

Exactly. The way some of the Huddersfield twitterati are carrying on recently, it’s very reminiscent of Birmingham last season. Yet they’re not Birmingham, they’re Huddersfield, and they spunked a lot of money last season. As far as I’m concerned, the three favourites, are the three that came down; the other three positions are all up for grabs, and my faith in the ownership is we’re going to have the tools to challenge again.

One signing in the building and Dodds seems to speak highly of him.
