he’ll keep us up
I had a meeting with a surgeon a few weeks ago who told me i’d need a quite complex operation and, whatever the result, I should start thinking of life expectancy in terms of years instead of decades.
SO LET’S SIGN NEYMAR AND DO THIS FUCKING THING!!!
Neymar? Knows nothing about League 1. Probably a Bloomfield suggestion. Underwhelmed. What are the club doing? We need a target man. Mansfield and Lincoln have both signed a player and that…
I’m absolutely certain that your positive response to the signing of James Tilley is fully justified.
I had a long chat earlier this evening with a good friend who has been a lifelong supporter of AFC Wimbledon. He feels aggrieved that we have “stolen” one of their three best players.
James Tilley plays as an attacking central midfielder and has scored some spectacular goals from distance. He has also scored a few goals in Cup games which presumably weren’t included in the figure someone quoted earlier. Not a prolific goalscorer but seven assists suggest that he might have Morley level pass picking potential.
Here’s hoping.
Naymer might just be a huge fan of Arsenal player, and his Brazilian team mate Gabriel
Ah yes, just bothered to google. I remember his eyes now. Gave me demon headmaster vibes.
Anyway, good luck James Tilley. I don’t watch enough football to give a view on his abilities either way on him but I am 100% sure he is better than me.
@AFCWycombe I quite liked that block colour ‘sand’ kit with white sleeves, similar to your description, from a couple of seasons back, although I understand it wasn’t universally popular.
Well, I liked it but can understand why most (?) people weren’t keen on it.
Further to my post about James Tilley, having since read about him on the official website, it seems that he either played mainly in the centre of midfield for Wimbledon or my Wimbledon supporting friend watches too few matches nowadays to get a proper handle on James’s position - he lives in Great Missenden and finds the drive there and back too frustrating these days - or indeed he is correct and Wimbledon didn’t take full advantage of his “threat in attack on either side of the pitch” referred to on the official website.
I hope most Gasroomers are starting to feel just a little bit excited about James Tilley.
nope …not yet …based on stats and feedback , goos sqaud addition but not good enough to be starting for a promotion chasing team.
Perhaps you could offer yourself to the scouting department, so you can approve every new player coming in !!
not a bad idea , however happy with my career!! just say it how i see it!
Suggest you wait until you see it, in that case.
Could we be privy to the nature of your career, perhaps?
Time you looked at the stats, I think.
I’m not sure what I said that upset you. If I came across as rude, I genuinely didn’t mean to apologies.
Thanks for this. Good to get an opinion from someone who has actually seen him play regularly. I’m happy with this signing and think it will be the first of many.
Total misunderstanding @shitcagowwfc. I worried that MY response to your post re James Tilley might have been construed as being rude but, on the contrary, you gave it a thumbs up so I had no need to be quaking in my boots. Sorry, slippers.
Or (more likely) a huge fan of Dave Carroll…
Could someone more IT savvy than me set up a new signing thread please as actual signings now seem to be overtaking rumours !!
