Sorry for teaching you how forums work.
Your message could also have been a PM. But no, you decided to do the thing you’re complaining about.
GG.
Edit: I do wholeheartedly apologise to Tom Stockwell. I called him Whatshisface because I was mid break of a night shift and couldn’t remember his name for a moment. I shall reflect on this massive slight.
pre-game never and post-game not ordinarily, but they can be unintendedly revealing. As when Dodds revealed he was happy with a few 1-0s despite playing dour football with no attacking intent, relying on fine margins falling our way.
Look back at the Stevenage game. We were abysmal and if Norris doesn’t pull off a great save at 0-0 we lose that game. As it is we get a scrappy winner in stoppage time and win.
Equally, the games against Huddersfield and Bolton showed little attacking intent and had a deflected shot or set piece led to either of them taking the lead we’d 100% have lost. That’s why I don’t consider them performances of any real quality, but Dodds unintentionally revealed that he did.
That’s a concern as we saw the obvious results of that approach later in the season where if we conceded first, we lost.
Slightly connected but I had the idea that Sky should do a cheaper package.
Coverage starts when the ref blows the whistle of kick off. Coverage stops when ref blows for full time. Fill your boots, stuff the 15 mins with ads when I’m out of the room at HT.
Apparently they talk about the game after the game for quite a while AND before!!! Who knew!!!
If you want that, then you can pay the current price which goes on their wages
As stated above, the management group must have faith in Dodds, having given him a summer to rebuild, especially if they think Head Coaches are easily replaceable. Its not like they are that worried about fan reaction or they might have chopped him to claw back a bit of crowd cred after Charlton.
I am in the Blooms was forced out campbut I also think Dodds was handed a poisoned chalice with new signings and some shell shocked players. Given that I was surprised he could not get a tune out of them even if he was confusing them with exciting new ways of playing the professional game.
Slate is blank for me and I hope Mike can get them firing this term.
I’ve been intrigued by the signings which seem to offer plenty of attacking possibilities.
I hope the management group make us competitive in L1 because on a personal level, having recently retired, I’ll need a good reason to keep paying my subs if we’ve got nothing to play for come Christmas.
Fingers crossed we will be worrying about Doddsy and Kone being snapped up by ‘big clubs’ by January as usual.
I never thought that last years team was good enough to stay in the championship. I will be looking to see how Wrexham and Charlton do. I suspect they will be back here next year
So true. And just to put things into perspective - this time last year, we could never have imagined that we would have the season that we just did.
So many people on here seem to think we are doomed after losing to Sutton - it highlights how little football fans actually know about football. Give it time.
