Rumour Mill

Ps I don’t want any Wycombe player to fail.

Not even getting near the bench would be really worrying.

But at least would prove those right who called them being well off the pace early on.
Rather than buying the injury/illness/no pre season/needing 6 months to settle straw clutching.

To be fair to them they really didn’t get any sort of a chance last season . This season only a couple of pre season friendlies. I am not saying you are necessarily wrong (I have not seen them at all) but surely a couple of pre season games is alittle premature ? I remember Harvie looking bang average at best for 3-4 games before he became one of our best players for example .

They were our record signings…no-one in their right mind would want them to fail. Many of us are perplexed that they do not seem to be up to it… but we would all be delighted to be proved wrong.

Probably the more interesting question is why they aren’t up to the required standard (if indeed they aren’t).

I don’t watch or read enough about football to know, but (from memory) they were both well established and respected players in their respective leagues which I understood to be thought of as being reasonably competitive.

Does this suggest that the leagues they came from really aren’t that good? (And risking opening up the data can of worms, what does that say about how and why we did go out and spend significant (and jaw-dropping) sums of money on them.

(I am aware this may be premature but I would be shocked from what I’ve seen and heard if either of them became established first team players for us this season)

I can’t really disagree with what you say . Except that it is still pretty early to write them off . If they do indeed turnout not to be up to standard maybe we can put it down to how this club has changed . We are used to having to get every signing right due to being skint . Now we are not maybe we are in an environment where we will inevitably get a few duds as we can afford to a little more ?

Everyone has apart from you!!

Rice is probably telling Dodds they have to be in the squad as he’s been spending millions of his bosses money on sh#t.

Everyone has what ?

An agenda with Rice… the blokes a weasel. Lifelong Wycombe fans appreciate honesty and respect, not sly c#nts

get a grip , you sound like a sad spoilt child

Well I am a life long Wycombe fan so you are incorrect.I also know several life long Wycombe fans who do not agree with you. There are also Wycombe fans on here who have liked my comments when defending Rice further proving you incorrect. Personally I will judge him on what I know he has or has not done. Not on chinese whispers , "someone I know at the club said " or any other conjecture . Whether you like him as a person or not he has transformed out infrastructure and I do not doubt plans to get us to the Championship.

We seem to be throwing a lot of money around elsewhere now, Fink, Allen, talk of the Bristol Rovers defender and a few others.

So at least the Danes don’t look as far out of the ordinary money wise.

As when you double your transfer record twice in a week, you assume those players will not only be decent, but will be your star players.

Oh well - it’s not over for them just yet, so hopefully they still have something to offer.
Probably more likely to be Westergaard as in his position he has more likelihood of getting time on the pitch.

Where’s Connell, where is he? Im worried sick

Lommy is worth around 6 billion. So 1 million to him is the same amount as £166 is to somebody who has a million in the bank.

IT’S NOTHING!!!

Though he’ll still probably break Dan’s legs if the Danes turn out to be shit.

A million pounds is a lot of money regardless of how much you have surely?

I miss Chas, The Dr, Shev and other legendary gasroom members… this has unfortunately gone very fb on here.

In other words less people agree with you .

I’m sorry, but you’re the one throwing around ‘weasel’ and the C-word.
